I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Port of Peri Peri, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the exceptional customer service provided by the staff. We recently visited this restaurant for dinner. Staffs are very professional and welcoming. Nice and thoughtful interior. We took half chicken with fries and wings. Unfortunately, half chicken didn't came out as expected. We usually have a benchmark for comparing peri peri chicken with Nando's and Tribos but compared to those this chicken was very dry and the chef just added sauce on basically poorly grilled chicken and just before serving and the sauce was not properly covered the whole surface not to mention inside. Chicken was kind off burned here and there and not juicy at all. Same goes for wings. In my view this is not 100% authentic peri peri chicken if someone is looking for. I hope they will improve the chicken preparation. Also compared to other peri peri chicken restaurant in this region the price is more. So in my view it's not a win-win. I took my 2 yr old daughter to lunch at Port of Peri Peri a few weeks ago. We had a great time! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We weren't sure what to order, but the staff offered some helpful recommendations after asking us about spice and meat preferences. The food was very good, chicken was falling off the bone but juicy and flavorful. High chairs were available which was very much appreciated.
