Where do I begin
First visit 12/8 light crowd. First impression after following on social media I was underwhelmed just was not what I was expecting.
Met an out of town relative here for an intimate birthday dinner. We misunderstood the menu and were expecting soul food. That is only served Sunday’s
My out of town relative agreed to stay and try it out
We had the salmon and mashed potatoes Chicken Mac and cheese. Another person in our party had their signature prominent burger .
Food was amazing Service was top notch😊❤️ There was a wait for the food and the place was not crowded. We could see they took their time in the preparation of our meal it was perfect. We had bang bang shrimp as appetizers it was not too spicy for the table of 50 and 60+ year old in our small group. The sauce tasted amazing. My relative actually saved some sauce to try on her salmon. We had the crunch cake it was a birthday for my out of town relative so she had a slice. It was very tasty per her feedback
It was $2 margarita night and we had a few. Mango strawberry and regular . They did not skimp on the liquor.
The bartender was very on top of things.
Please try this out black owned business and I have been wanting to try for quite some time. Glad we did. I live in Perry and the others in my party were visiting the Macon area so this was a great midway. With no wait and no crowd.
One thing I must add I believe this was an owner or manager but a gentleman came to our table at all the appropriate times to check on us and offer update on our meals also followed up on the music.
There is a jukebox that customers control with their phones by app. We arrived it was old school& christmas music. The whispers. Otis Redding folks we love with a great vibe for this 50 and 60+ party of 4.
Some one came in and changed the music to some very explicit. We murmured amongst ourselves apparently this gentleman manager or owner felt our discomfort and came right over and politely apologized. He explained how the music worked and that he would switch it back to something more low key.
Best customer service ever. We were done eating and just sipping our drinks relaxing but I love that he saw us. 🥰
Thank you prominent bar crew. Fantastic experience and you will see us for Sunday brunch.
Folks if you have not visited or you are just passing through byron on the interstate stop in to this wonderful quaint restaurant and show them some love with your business. I assure you as a major foodie you will find no...
Read moreI normally wouldn’t do a review. I wanted to give my take on this restaurant. First, It’s a quaint little restaurant. It has the potential to be great but a few changes needs to be made. We order appetizers which included bang bang shrimps and garlic Parmesan chicken wings. Those bang bang shrimps was so small for the amount of money paid for them. People like to get the bang for their money. Now, the garlic Parmesan wings was delicious. They need to switch to the jumbo shrimps and stop being stingy with the portion. My dinner was the stuff chicken breast and 2 sides was the Caesar salad and mash potatoes. My chicken breast was cut in half which was a half of breast with a toothpick to keep the chicken breast together. In other words, It wasn’t stuff and actual cut in half with the cream of cheese spread on it. The taste was awesome again they were being stingy. Who cut the breast in half??? Next the mash potatoes and Caesar salad I received a generous amount. The mash potatoes came but a huge amount of butter on them. I really couldn’t eat them because they were too salty. Either they need to cut down on the salt and go with a salt less butter if they salt them potatoes like they did. The Caesar salad was good. Overall they got a lot to work on. I’m not going to tell anyone not to try them because we all have...
Read moreToday, we hit Prominent Bar and Restaurant after church to see what their offerings are like for ourselves.i wasn't going to grab a "drink" since it was Sunday midday, but I just went with a single Green Lagoon... Great drink with an island vibe to it.. the Pineapple and Coconut Rum lead your tastebuds. My sidekicks went soda and sweet tea. On to the ambiance, as we waited for our orders.... I looked around a bit. Noticed a dj that I did not see upon entering the spot. Playing some light music... noticed some cuts from Aaliyah, EarthWind&Fire, MaryJ and more being mixed like a whisper in the room among patrons conversations. Had some early Baseball (Cubs vs Cards)game on too. Lastly, the food and service... I had Oxtails, Cabbage, & Yams. Sidekick #1 had Cabbage, Baked Chicken with Mac N Cheese. Sidekick #2 had Fried Porkchop, Mac N Cheese, and Collard Greens. Someone stole an oxtail as soon as the prayer ended... Tip #1: Guard your plate. At least after this I was gifted a fair portion of the tasty Porkchop. Both of our main entrees were tender and well seasoned. Sidekick #1 inhaled the Baked Chicken with a constant hummm that detailed an assumption of fantastic taste. Tip #2 write your name on the wall if you see an available spot.... we forgot to mark an...
