The food, service, and atmosphere are all nice. However, prices in 2025 are steep (especially compared to just a few years ago) and hours are limited, which is why they lose a star. They are only open for dinner everyday except Mondays and Tuesdays. With that said - the service was attentive, efficient, and caring. Katie was a wonderful server! The BBQ Pork Bao for $16.88 was worth dying for! I learned the hard way it was likely made with milk. I'm lactose intolerant and paid for it. That was 100% my fault. I knew it was TOO DELICIOUS!! My son gave it a 10/10 and he says worth every penny. Easy to say when it's not his money. Lol The food all had great flavor, but the Mapo tofu for $18.88 was excellent 👌 and the rice perfectly cooked. The Chow Fun Noodle was also good flavor, but was lacking some kind of vegetable besides a little bean sprouts and green onion... and had minimal protein especially for $25.88! It was nice they had a large plate of sautéed noodles for $10 and a large side portion of chicken breast for $14. The Deep-fried Bao Buns 6 for $15.88 were very tasty (again likely contains milk and totally my fault for realizing that too late). They were gobbled up and enjoyed! The ambiance is clean and modern. No restroom inside the restaurant. Would I visit this Vietnamese and Cantonese fare restaurant again? If someone else was paying! Ha. I don't think inflation has caused food prices to be as steep as they are. The quality is good so if money isn't an issue or you just won big, go for it!

Excited to try this new place in the casino, we came on a Tuesday evening around 6:30, we had only a 10min wait. The staff was very friendly. The place was very clean and modern, the menu had a wide selection and contained both Cantonese and Vietnamese food. We started off with the garlic stir fried green beans. The garlic sauce was great but I think the green beans could have been cooked a little more. Then came the entrees, I order the seafood pho and my husband got the black pepper beef. The presentation of both the dishes was nice. The broth to my pho was one of the best I've been had, ton of great flavor and not to much salt, I also noticed it didn't separate like some other broths had before. The noodles seemed fresh and the seafood inside was also not over cooked like I usually experience. My husbands dish was good, the beef being perfectly cooked, he did say it was VERY peppery and the pepper over powered the rest of the dish. The server was helpful in helping us use our momentum points and get the best value along with being attentive throughout our visit. We would for sure come back again. Prices were also very fair for the quality

I travel to Longview for work frequently. Their best Chinese food is Panda Express, so in my search for authentic Chinese food, I drove 30 minutes to this place. Their food is definitely authentic Chinese not American Chinese. If you're craving orange chicken or beef with broccoli this is not the place. I had their foie gras Angus beef fried rice. It was outstanding. I was so happy with the entree I decided to try a dessert and got sweet osmanthus flowers and glutinous rice dumplings. It tasted like mildly sweet Dial soap. I grew up in Hong Kong and can say this dessert was for the birds. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Otherwise, I was very happy with my dining experience.

If we decide to come back at all I'll never spend the $38 for the Black Cod again because I'm not willing to pay for the privilege of deboning my own fish and risk the choking hazard and granting them the trust of my patronage. I could have choked on their lack of consideration and disregard for their returning customers.

I found no less than 12 bones in my fillet tonight. I've ordered this meal 5 times prior to this visit and I've never had even one. In my career as a chef I would have been severely reprimanded and shamed for allowing a customer to receive this, especially considering the price and quality of the restaurant.

As a customer it's bogus that the waitress was so nonchalant. When I told her to ask the chef what happened she came back to the table with the check, no comps or apology at all. When I had to ask her what the chef said, she claimed it was lucky we hadn't gotten bones before and that she should have said something. A guest might find that info important don't you think? And of all the times I've ordered this you're the first to bring it up, and of course, after the fact?! Could you pretend try just a smidgen?

What a shame! I consider that Black Cod the best meal at Ilani and tell my friends and colleagues about it. Due to the lack of consideration and quality of service I'll be sharing a different story.

The bartender is phenomenal and is not included in this review. I feel awful that he's teamed up with such pitiful front of the house staff and kitchen, a talent of his caliber is muted by their under...

Wow my best friend Chris and I just ate here a couple of hours ago and we couldn’t wait to post this review.

First of, let me just say we like to dine out A LOT!

We have eaten several times at Ilani, but we can’t believe how this is our first time here at Bamboo 8!

From the moment we got sat down to our table to the time we paid we were very taken care of. There was a point in the middle of our time here…we looked at each other and said..”THIS IS THE BEST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER GOTTEN!” It doesn’t hurt that the food was also SOOOO GOOD! That was just the bonus.

Our server Vanesa (yes one s) gave us the best EVER experience in this casino. She was very knowledgeable and honest of the food items…very personable, authentic, and overall the ROCKSTAR of this place!

Food we ordered this trip:

Salt & Pepper chicken wings - very tasty and crispy! 💥

Lamb chops - oooh this melts in your mouth! 🔥

Chow-fun Noodles w/beef - Great noodles and very tender beef 😋

Rice Platter w/short ribs - Great combination 💯

Only thing I would change about Bamboo 8…it needs to be open EVERYDAY!

Shoutout to V-A-N-E-S-A!!!!

I would never add another s on your name! It’s perfect...
