REVERSE RACISM! They judge people on their attire and how well they speak English and do not treat customers equally, explanation below while serving below average Indian dishes. Drinks great!
I was visiting DC with my Indian dad who is visiting from india and so decided to go to Bindaas for lunch as it had such great reviews. Called up and made a reservation for a table within air conditioning area which was confirmed. My dad arrived early so I told him to go in and take the table and I would join him in 10 mins. They sat him down in 38degree Celsius heat outside when there were tables inside in AC section available and I had explicitly reserved a AC table. When I came, my dad is alone sitting outside st the back of the restaurant in the open air with other tables empty, sweating and when I asked him he said I told them about your reservation but they still told me to sit here. I then called the waitress and asked about it told about our reservation. Suddenly that I have entered, wearing branded clothes, clearly look like I work and live in the states, we get one of the open tables in the AC section, in the front facing parts of the restaurant. I was furious but my dad did not want me comforting so I ignored. Ordered food and drinks and I have to say, I have eaten much better food, the daal makhani was tasting only of butter no daal, the shrimp curry that my dad ordered was bland and had 4-5 small sized shrimps. The starter was again bland but crispy if you are into that. The only think that we loved was the mocktail that the waiter recommended, which we ordered also to go.
If this is how you treat your customers then I am ashamed. Hope you don’t judge some other Indian parents visiting who have worked hard to educate their kids just because they were not dressed to the standard that you think your...

My family's lunch plans took an unexpected turn when we were denied entry at Rasika due to their no-kids policy. Luckily, the staff redirected us to Bindaas, their more casual, kid-friendly sibling restaurant.
As we walked in, the ambiance was lively and modern, with a fun, street-food-inspired vibe. However, our excitement was short-lived, as we were presented with a limited menu that lacked the diversity and creativity we've come to expect from Indian cuisine in the nation's capital.
We ordered a few dishes to share, starting with the Paneer Korma Bowl with rice. Unfortunately, the dish was a letdown – the paneer tasted stale, and the korma sauce lacked depth and flavor.
The Vada Pav Burger was a redeeming factor, with a crispy, flavorful patty and great fries on the side. However, the Cheese Chilli Puff felt like a warmed-up version of a frozen snack, lacking the freshness and zing we've come to expect from this popular Indian street food.
Lastly, the Masala Tea was just okay, failing to impress with its lackluster flavor profile.
In conclusion, our experience at Bindaas was a mixed bag. While the Vada Pav Burger and fries were highlights, the rest of the dishes failed to impress. Given the limited menu options and inconsistent flavors, I'd recommend Bindaas for a quick, casual bite, but not for a memorable, authentic Indian dining experience.

Recommendation:
If you're in the area and craving Indian-inspired street food, Bindaas might be worth a try. However, if you're looking for a more authentic, diverse, and flavorful Indian dining experience, you might want to explore other options...
Read moreMy friend and I came here for a quick bite on a Saturday night. We looked it up on instagram and they are many viral reels made on the restaurant however accept for the ambiance there's nothing great about it . We ordered the chilli cheese puff and gunpowder fries and was given a chicken puff instead... after asking the waiter and him making a face at us the correct order was given ... the wait stuff clearly just dilly dally around and don't have manners and etiquette on how to speak to customers. Our waiter was a man of Indian descent who was of mature age(older)with a beard.... and asked us in a much scolding manner of our order... we ordered a biryani to share (chicken) for main course.... which was awful it tasted like boiled rice and boiled chicken.... later on he came back to ask us about the food and I said it was okay... he said whats wrong with it and I said it doesn't taste like biryani.... he said firstly the portion is for 1 person ... (bare it mind we came here for a snack if we didn't want allot to eat its not his business if we don't want to order another entree) .... and then said to us if you wanted spicy we should have said so ...(which he himself should have suggested mild or spicy when taking the order itself)which is conducted at every other Indian restaurant!..... and then walking away with an attitude... Maybe he thought cause we are young women that he could talk to us in this tone . Bare in mind we are at a restaurant and not his relatives.... he did not come back to our table after and we had to ask another server for our check. The restaurant also has a 20% gratituity already added so even after receiving bad service. Very much disappointed and would not be returning! Match your food standards with...
