Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Wausau

The week they opened the Manager and staff were welcoming and the food was prepared satisfactorily. I have been there about 5 times since the opening. The quality of the food wasn't as well prepared by the same sandwich maker. I noticed the vegetables were rather sweaty, not as crisp either. Rather than continuing to welcome customers into the store and to be proactive and confirm orders are ready. I have sat at a table waiting since I didn't see the take out stand from the entrance since the windows are highly tinted. Today. The Sr. Mgr was talking to the shift Mgr and didn't take a moment to assist me. I found my order on the takeout shelf and waved towards the sandwich maker. He gave me a nonshalant glance and seemed to give me a sarcastic smile. I walked back to my apartment and took a look at the sandwich . There was a slimy clear appearance to the substance on the edges of the role , onions and meet. I tried to take a bite as I did previously on my order earlier this week. It grossed me out. This is not an indictment of their food, nor of the hard-working people behind the counter. I have been a Jimmy John's customer for year, and the switch to doordash fpr delivery is disheartening. My last attempted delivery was never picked up by the third-party provider (DoorDash), and I never received my food. The employee that took my call immediately recognized the issue and was immensely apologetic for something that was not, nor should not be, their fault. The order was canceled and refunded promptly. It was immediately obviously that this was not the first time they had to have that conversation with a hungry customer. In a few short weeks, Jimmy John's has managed to completely erode consumer confidence in their promise of "freaky fast" delivery.
