Guacamole - 3.5 stars Service at the bar and experience overall - ZERO
On 5/4/23 I visited this restaurant with 2 other friends for dinner. We sat at the bar and proceeded to order our appetizers. After aprx 10 minutes I finally decided what I wanted to order for my beverage and food order. The bartender took my order and proceeded on to service other guests . After 20 minutes I had still not received my drink so I waited longer to give the bartender some time. I then waived him over to ask if I could order my drink and he apologized for forgetting my order. I did did not mind because I have worked in the service industry & always give servers and bartenders grace. I do want to note the bar area was not busy at all. After about 20-25 more minutes I noticed other patrons who sat at the bar after us were receiving both their drinks and food so at that point I’m thinking the bartender completely forgot to even put in my food order like he did my drink. My two friends were done eating their appetizers and were ready to leave so at that point I did not want to wait any longer than we already did because I assumed the bartender forgot to put in my order. We waived the bartender over and asked for our check and to not put MY undelivered food order on our check because we never received it after waiting 40-45 minutes for 1 steak taco, rice/beans and 1 chimichanga. At that moment my friend also asked if she could order one last drink before we left. The bartender then states that I HAVE to pay for the food I ordered even though we never received it. He stated if I did not want to pay for it we have to talk to a manger so we ask to speak to a manager. Instead of bringing over a manger the bartender brings over another bartender who was working the bar to speak to us. Both bartenders begin to speak to me and my friends in a VERY DISRESPECTFUL manner, raising their voice at us in front of other guests, claiming that we were liars and being VERY unprofessional. The bartender then proceeds to state that he will not serve my friend a drink because I did not want to pay for food I never received. After going back and fourth for a few minutes we finally get the attention of the ACTUAL manager. While we are speaking to the manager the 2 men are in the back mocking us, calling us liars, and disrespecting us in front of other restaurant guests. I have NEVER felt so embarrassed and attached at a restaurant in my whole entire life then I did at that moment! The bar manager Nick was nice enough to serve my friend her drink and even ended up giving us my order for free to make up for the disrespect we went through. When we asked Nick if we could get the names of the two bartenders so that we could speak with the general manager he said that he could not give us that information because it was private. One of the rude bartenders walks back up to us and tells us both of their names were Alejandro & Gerardo. Not sure if that was their actual names but I am putting them on blast. I will NEVER come to this establishment again. At the end of the day I never want anyone to ever experience what we went through because that was absolutely...
Read moreI worked at this location for about 3-4 weeks. Managers need more training when it comes to interviewing and training new employees. They also need more training with making sure the new hired gets all paperwork turn in prior to working so there is no confusion when it comes to payroll. I was a bit frustrated that it took then almost 2-3weeks for then to pay me, after I sent multiply messages to both managers. As a new hired your excited but this is not acceptable nor should it be a continue problem with the new hires. I was hired as a bartender in which I was not train nor walk through the building or introduce to any papers or requirements. After about 2 weeks of working I still didn’t received a pin to clock in or out after multiple attempt of letting management know, the managers (Amy & Edward )also where not doing their job of keeping up with my hours. I tried to then talk to Alejandro the GM, but he would find any excuse to sent me back to talk with Edward or Amy. After multiple attempts I felt the need to talk to a superior about the problem, and finally talked with Togi I got a check that was still missing hours and was not pay accordingly to what was agree when hired. The restaurant has a lot of potential to do good and is in a great area management is a big issue at this establishment when management is not working accordingly to standards employees are unorganized and confuse. Not the best place to work at nor referred a friend to work, management spends most of their time relaxing at the bar having drinks and handing drink and food to employees all on the house, No tip for bartenders either. When a customer has a complaint GM always hides and sends managers to void their meal. This isn’t the best way to help a customer neither, customer are valuable to an establishment and should be listen to Appropriately. I’m glad, I am not a part of this establishment anymore, since the GM Alejandro claim I “harassed,” him after letting him know I was a nurse student and was watching a medical procedure, that was being done on a SIM doll he asked to watch and I slightly showed him he then continue asking me questions that lead to inviting me to a new club or bar he had recently open up. If anything I felt Harassed I am a new employee your not respecting my concerned regarding my hours but want to invite me to a new Bar you open up ? Very unprofessional .
Please, take this into consideration Best...
Read moreI went here with a group of 10 friends for a birthday celebration. Service and food were both average at best; not good, but not bad. I will say that the margaritas were excellent. About halfway through the meal, the manager came into the room and offered to bring everyone a shot if we all left a 5-star review. Smart on his part, although I question the ethics of bribing guests to leave 5-star reviews. Once most of the group did so, we were brought 10 of the lowest quality tequila shots we've ever tasted. To be fair, they were 'free.' It was so bad though that I would have rather not even gotten it.
Up until this point, we generally were all happy. When it came time to pay the bill, we were informed that they couldn't split the check. Wait, what? I work in the service industry, and I know if I get a full table of younger people, I automatically assume the check will be split, or at the very least I ask at the beginning. And as far as I know, all modern systems have the capability of splitting checks, they just didn't want to do it. What followed was us all trying to figure out how much each individual owed, and writing on separate sheets of paper our totals and which card to charge it to. This was further complicated by gratuity being included (understandable with larger groups), and having no way to calculate each person's individual gratuity charge. It was an absolute mess, and took nearly 45 minutes to figure out the bill and get it paid. Once we thought we had everything paid, there was still a sizable leftover balance, and finally one of our group members just agreed to pay it so we could be done with the nightmare of paying our bill.
If it weren't for them refusing to split the check, I would have given it a solid 4 stars. Average food, OK service, great drinks. But trying to pay our bill was such a fiasco, it left a sour taste...
