Made reservations on Monday afternoon for a surprise birthday dinner for my husband's birthday on Tuesday nite @ 6pm for 7 people. 5 to arrive @ 5:45 and he & I @ 6pm. We arrived downstairs at the table @ 6:02 & our adult children/grandchildren were already there. The man taking my reservation on Monday said they had a party of 6 & 10 @ approximately the same time, but they could handle it fine. The other party of six had drinks & appetizers & the 10 had not arrived when we ordered drinks, cheese curds & mozzarella sticks. Drinks arrived fairly quickly, but it took quite sometime-we finally asked about where the appetizers were and indicated we wanted to order dinners asap. Appetizers finally came, but our waitress did not take our dinner order until our 3rd request after a co-worker of my husband's stopped by the table to visit in the extra chair) and have a soda with us as we ate. Dinners were 2 steaks(med rare & med., 2 wraps(1 to go for our HS granddaughter who needed to be picked up @ work) & 4 paninis.

Somewhere between finally getting our appetizer, the 10 had arrived late, ordered drinks/appetizers and received their dinners before we did. The other 6 was done eating, had their birthday sundae and we still had no dinners. My cup of chili finally arrived stone cold, when dinners came both steaks were well past well done- gray and dry. As the 2-go wrap was not brought, I asked our waitress where it was-her response, "I'll put that in when you're ready to go." and disappeared. As a former waitress, my take is that when it's ordered with the rest of the meals...someone is prolly planning on leaving early with the wrap.

We had to ask twice for the bill. When it finally arrived($200.20) I said , "Please take this right away" and got out my charge card, as she disappeared, went to talk to 2 other tables, cleared one and ignored my husband waving the tray in the air...as our daughter put on her coat to leave to take the wrap to her high schooler, who we'd hastily arranged to have picked up from work and driven home since we had now been in the restaurant for 2 hours.

Their website states that guests usually spend between 45-90 min to eat. it's fairly close to my daughter's house, and they've eaten there in the past, so that's why we chose it rather than our usual favs: Jugs or MJ's. As a former waitress I still left her a 15% tip, not my usual 20%, but would never recommend, nor return since service was poor, food not that great and this was planned a day in advance. I feel we'd still be there, if we'd have been walk-ins.
