I hadn't been here in perhaps a year due to some health issues that kept me shut in. Boy, what a change. My wife and I gave our order, and I trustingly added a 20% tip up front. Big mistake.
We had to clean a table for ourselves as best we could. The drink station also held napkins, straws, plasticware, and condiments, but was empty of all those things. The trash can in the center was overflowing onto the counter top. At this point I began to wonder what I had gotten us into. This was not how I remembered the place. The appetizer came, and it was not what we ordered. The employee looked sullen about having to take it back, and also about our request for napkins and utensils since the self-service station was empty. He returned a few minutes later with an adjusted plate and the other items.
Our entrees arrived sometime afterward, and the same lazy employee practically threw the plates at us, so that portions of my Greek salad bounced off the plate and onto the unwashed table top. He was unapologetic and annoyed, perhaps about having to correct the appetizer earlier. The salad had absolutely no flavor. Although Taziki's advertises fresh meals, the whole thing felt and tasted pre-packaged, like something you'd pick up at a drive-thru. I began to wonder if I could request a refund on the tip I had obligingly added on one of those obnoxious credit card machines.
Suffice it to say that this Taziki's location has dropped significantly in the catagory of quality control. I'm wondering if management has changed in the past year or if all franchise locations have undergone similar corporate cost-cutting measures. At any rate, the food and service were disappointing and certainly not...
Read moreMy wife and I went there for dinner with our daughter and son-in-law. It seemed like a nice place, but when I ordered, I told the girl at the register TWICE that I did not want feta cheese on my sandwich. When they brought the food out, I asked again, no feta cheese, right? They said that was right. There was definitely feta cheese on it. I was also a little surprised to see that the chips that come with every meal appear to be Frito Lay Ruffles! Seems kind of cheap for a place like this when so many other restaurants make chips in-house. Even if you're not going to make them in house, surely you can find something a little more "upscale" than Ruffles. They also sell a variety of beers, but have no beer list. I could get past the last two things, but the feta cheese thing should have never happened. I literally asked three times. I don't think I'd choose to go back.
Edit: I left this place a bad review 4 years ago because they got my order wrong, despite me reminding them 3 times. My daughter recently wanted to have food delivered to her house from these guys. So I said I'd give them another try. Guess what? My order was wrong again. The order slip on the outside of the bag was correct, the food was not. I asked for no Taziki sauce, and the order slip said so, but it was definitely on the sandwich. I'm docking them one of the two stars I gave last time, because you can't...
Read moreI do not like giving a bad review but this was all around a bad experience. After standing in line when I got to the register to order the person at the register said I'll be right back. She then proceeded to bag up and get drinks for multiple carryout orders. It was more than 10 minutes before she returned. I placed my order and waited... not too long. The person who brought my order gave me 2 items and asked if she could get me anything else. I mentioned the 3rd item and she said "Oh yeah, we are out of that" was there something else I wanted. No thank you. I them had to mention to the cashier that I needed to be refunded. She was not at all aware that they were out of the item. Now to speak to what I did receive. The spicy hummus has a very strange, tangy flavor. I did not like it and after several bites quit trying. The whipped feta had much more than a drizzle of honey. More like 2oz of honey in the middle which detracted from the savory flavor that gets usually has. I wish I had gone to Aladdin's where I've...
