If I could give this rating a negative stars it’ll be more sufficient and honest I order online through DoorDash as the website recommends I ordered the grilled chicken dinner that comes with two sides: as a side 5 pcs of shrimp is offered therefore I selected that and macaroni and cheese

I arrived at The licking after receiving confirmation text that my order was ready at 1750. I walked into the restaurant to retrieve my order and collected my order and left. It smells delicious therefore I returned to my vehicle to tata te test when I noticed that the shrimp was missing. I returned to the store with food and explained the situation. I informed I was find with paying the difference for shrimp add on and to sneak it easier I’ll take the shrimp and fish dinner instead and will repost the remaining balance since my food was now cold I inquired on making it fresh and to return my food . The manager with blue hair said it was fine to pay the difference of the food. My food was never rung up and and re-order but I was told otherwise. I stayed there until 1930 (7:30) and never received my food and was constantly told it’s coming up next and they are behind I was number 128 and when I left they were on 161. Everybody ignored my rants and raved and as proof it shows I never received my corrected food nor the food that was order precisely. I want a full refund and you can’t always support black on business because they don’t relato care about you I drove all the way from up north to this mediocrity this is unprofessional, unappreciatedx appalling and disrespectful that I did not deserve to experience my business could’ve went...
Read moreWhere should I start? Overall food was good and the atmosphere It was very mild. There was about three other customers in there total. The waiter/bus boy was sitting at a table, came up to the hostess stand , where we were waiting to be seated and said “this not my job”. Which was very rude to say when we did sit down a lady from the back came about 10 minutes later, ask us for drinks or did I drink took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. The drink order was wrong did not receive a straw had to wait on straws. The appetizers were very good I must say.. no napkins at the table for us to wipe our hands or mouths with the size of the chicken, was very small missing sauce on one order of wings by this time, waiting on a food and finally getting food. We both were over at the service no one came and checked on us to see how we were doing if we wanted any refills or waters while sitting at the table while eating we had to ask for utensils to eat with we were the first customers again and the last wants to get served. We have asked for a bill twice once receiving the bill it was wrong the questioned us on the fact we didn’t get a drink. it took at least 15 to 20 minutes for them to run the card and us to get the card to back… A guy came in. I want to say he was the hostess, but he smell like marijuana walked in with a fifth of patron, took it to the back, very unprofessional. Since the establishment doesn’t sell liquor at all. Then he got to the hoses. Then proceeded to have a phone call arguing with someone on the phone about how he was at work very unprofessional. Read more2nd time wasn't a charm for me and my friends. Dont know if afternoon chef same as night chef or if they changed chefs but food NOT the same any longer since opening. If Chicago doesn't know anything else we know food and its unfortunate that food quality has been dissipating since first opened. Not only me but a few of my friends share same feeling about food. 😣 On my 1st visit I ordered the veggie alfredo but seeing that I am trying to omit dairy from my diet I tried the veggie stir fry. It was too greasy and I asked waitress to take back. She replied that she had to "see" if it would be okay. I didn't like that response seeing that they have a no refund policy. So what would be wrong with a customer asking for something else without any questions asked if they weren't satisfied? 🤔 I was told that it was sauce not grease but they could oblige my request to get veggie alfredo. One spoonful of stir fry was enough for me to know it was grease over sauce. My lips were shiny as if I put vaseline or gloss on them. Plus all I tasted was grease. Stir fry should not be swimming in grease or sauce for that matter. By time I received my replacement dish my friends were done eating so I got to go. Got home and veggie alfredo wasn't same either.😩 The alfredo sauce had seized up and was stuck on pasta. I added a little water to it and reheated and it was much better. Yet for price I shouldn't have to do all that for a dish to come together. I love supporting my own but The Licking-Chicago got to step their game up.
