First off, let me start by saying I was impressed the minute I walked through the door. Even my Uber driver said awesome things about the place. I made it for happy hour, so my martinis were $5 off. I had 2, and they were just awesome! The bartenders were busy but still took the time to be friendly and tend to me with a smile. They also made sure I put my order in for my 2nd martini before the end of happy hour. I ordered Louie's choice cheeseburger with a side salad with ranch. The salad was fresh, crisp, and tasty. I think the ranch was house made (soooo good). My burger was cooked perfectly (not well done/overcooked). I was impressed as most places over cook beef instead of cooking it to temp. The toppings were also fresh and delicious. This is a big burger, so bring an appetite! I had to cut it in half to eat it, and I ate all but maybe 2 bites. I didn't need ketchup/mustard, etc, it was delicious without my usual condiments. This is saying something because love ketchup! I stayed after I ate for quite awhile and had a couple of more drinks including truly seltzer on tap. I've never seen anyone have a seltzer on tap so that was a treat. I'm in Des Moines for a work training so I was dining alone. The manager happened to be working at the end of the bar near where I was sitting. As the crowd thinned out he made time for a friendly conversation (iowa nice) and I really appreciated that! There was a sweet waitress who also took the time to have a quick conversation as well. I did ask if they had to split tips. I was actually surprised at how small my bill was so I wound up tipping them extra for the amazing service, atmosphere and food. This team of people work together like a well oiled machine. Overall impressed with everything from start to finish. Staff, service, food, atmosphere all fantastic. If you're looking for a bar with fantastic food and friendly efficient staff this is the place to go! I may even return there tonight.

We came on Saturday. It is a nice place and friendly staff. You could watch the college basketball game from any seat in the bar, which was nice. There were several people there, but it was still a quiet atmosphere. I had ordered some chicken nachos. They were really good and a huge plate. The nacho chips were warm, and the toppings were plenty. It is a great share plate. I also had a bowl or tomato soup that had croutons and cheese. It was just the right temperature. My husband had a chicken sandwich and tatertots. He said the chicken was juicy, and the tatertots were crispy without being hard or overcooked. He also had an apple martini. I don't think he was a fan. It's a really comfortable place to just chill.

We stopped in here for an early lunch after a busy morning. We arrived before the lunch rush so we were seated immediately. Everything came out pretty fast but I'm sad to say that the food was not good. I got the Hot Honey Bacon flatbread. The bread was soggy, the toppings were meager, and tasted old or of poor quality. My husband had been wanting a burger for awhile but left disappointed. I might have had two bites of the flatbread and just left the rest. The staff was really nice, but that's not a good enough reason for us to come back. Didn't feel like trying anything else on the menu after two fails so we just paid our bill and left hungry. It seems as though they're known more for their cocktails.
