Willow and Olivia a sweet journey The most whimsical boutique bakery! This gem is nestled in the Tory corner section of West Orange New Jersey. As you open the door you are greeted with the scent of baking spices and a feeling of comfort. The decor is a lively fairy theme. The offerings were definitely dreamy. There were huge fluffy cinnamon buns with just enough sparkly glazed to catch your eye. There was ever so moist and delicious crumb cake. I had to ask what was the secret ingredient, the reply was french butter. Yup that will do it every time. There were delicate and dainty red velvet cupcakes, and other stuffed cupcake flavors; dolce de leche, Nutella, Oreo cookie, double chocolate you name it they make it. Next up where the perfectly crumbled blueberry lemon bars and show stopping Snickers Cake oh and I can't forget the delicious signature brownies. Just when this fantastical sugar ride was over... Then came the cookies!!! Gluten free chocolate chip with the perfect chip to cookie ratio, also a stuffed Nutella fluff cookie As I quietly sat there enjoying the most luscious dirty mocha latte I got the sense that the omnipresent celestial fairies Willow and Olivia we're wishing me the best day ever and wanted me to come back soon.

If you want mediocrity to be the hallmark of your celebration, look no further. We placed an order for a package deal of birthday cake, cupcakes and cake pops a couple of months in advance for our daughter's 1st birthday but were profoundly disappointed by the products we received. The icing/decoration on the cake as well as the cupcakes was unimaginative. They simply made it as per the inspiration picture we sent. We had asked them to use their imagination and surprise us, but that request was clearly ignored. The cake wasn't fluffy, the texture was lumpy to be precise. The same goes for the cupcakes and cake pops. All of it tasted extremely soapy and unappetizing because of the excessive use of baking soda. The kids and adults hated it alike and all the cake pieces ended up in the trash bin. It was a 2-tier cake and the bottom tier of the cake remained untouched as the guests told each other to avoid the soapy cake. It was promptly trashed because of the horrible taste. We trusted Willow & Olivia to live up to their reputation in West Orange, to make our special occasion a fond memory, but instead we were thoroughly let down and would always remember them for the lumpy, soapy unpalatable cake that ruined our daughter's first birthday. For the premium they charge, the end products are subpar. Spare yourself the horror and steer clear of this establishment if you don't want to be deeply disappointed.

I emailed to inquire about a cake and I’ve never had such horrible service in my life. I emailed with the cake idea and photos because the online form didn’t have options that fit my needs. When I emailed, they responded insisting for me to fill out that form. So I did, and I requested a time for the next day. I was open if it wasn’t available and could have gotten the cake the next day. They replied to me telling me they’re booked for the entire weekend? I’m sorry, so you used my time making me fill out a form just to tell me you’re booked for the entire weekend? You couldn’t have said that before? I’ve literally never heard of a bakery taking longer than 24-48 hours turnaround time in my life. Then they go on to suggest I use ShopRite or Walmart bakery…. For a GENDER REVEAL cake. Is that a facetious suggestion? What a joke. I’ll never use them again in the future. What a complete waste of time.

Willow and Olivia has become one of my most favorite bakeries. I’ve used their services on many special occasions. Because I was going so often not only did I feel welcomed but I became great friends with the owner and made new friends in town by having this as a coffee meet up to talk to with some of the residents in town. Willow and Olivia is a household name for my family. We love the service and yes the cakes

First time experience and I was so impressed by the service and quality of the items I ordered. I requested a Ms. Rachel themed cake and the owner delivered that and much more. The cake was moist and delicious. My guests loved it!! I will definitely return and am so glad to have taken a chance with a business I was unfamiliar with. You won't be disappointed ☺️

My favorite bakery! Woman owned, gay friendly and black small business. They are creative with decor and all of the cakes and pastries are amazing hands down!!!!!!!!!! If you’re ever in West Orange, you have to make a quick shop! The pic was the last cake I ordered… my non-cake eating guests demolished the cake! Haha!!! Love this place!!! Lol
