Four of us dined here Tuesday 4 March, as a soft open. The food? Delicious. Service? Wonderful, two pleasant managers stopped by to check on things. Atmosphere? So fun!! I told all staff that came by how much I enjoyed the hugs skull on the west wall. Then... there's the south wall is floor to ceiling windows! I complimented their light fixtures(?) like tin stars and chandeliers w beads on them for a pop of color. I was met w "she strung those beads herself". The 360* bar. Wait... until you use the ladies room... I love the burgundy-ish wall that looks to be flecked w glitter. Parking? Easy w the parking lot just outside the front door. We shared wings as an appetizer....not your run of the mill boned wings. I wouldn't describe them as boneless.....go try them yourself. The others ordered the chiminchanga and the burrito. I opted to order three tacos. They all split a tres leches strawberry cake, I was too full to try it. I presume the soft opening went well because I see that MC's is posting St Patrick's Day specials, as they intend to be open. Don't skip MC's, definitely worth a try based on any of my notes above. Cheers MC's for the delicious food, great service and hospitality! Thanks MC's for the complimentary meal.

We loved the restaurant that used to occupy this space and decided to check out the newly opened taco place. The space was renovated and is one large open area (instead of a bar area and dining room with a dividing wall). Space is used effectively but it was quite loud with mostly full tables and music playing. Food was quite good but service was a bit disjointed. They've only been open about a week, so growing pains are to be expected as they find their groove. Beer selection was a bit limited, is to be expected in a tequila bar. Food came out hot and as ordered for the most part. A la carte ordering for tacos made it easy to try multiple options. We'll definitely enjoy again as it's very close to our home and we'd love to see a business thrive in this space as the previous restaurant did for many years before vacating. UPDATE May 2025: much better experience this time. Staff was attentive and helpful from the host to the server. Only one minor gaffe on a customization of one of the tacos (asked for no tomatoes) but nothing you wouldn't expect from any busy kitchen. Taquitos were amazing, and all the tacos we tried were great.

I recently saw MC's open for business in the old Lucy's Burgers in White Bear Lake, so I decided to check them out. I picked up a chimichanga and burrito, and both were great! The chimichanga was crunchier/crispier than the ones you'd get at Acapulco or Fiesta Cancun, but it was still delicious, and the cheese was more gooey, kinda like taking a bite out of stuffed crust. My spouse seemed to enjoy the burrito with no complaints, though a side would've been nice given how it was identically priced to the chimichanga. Nevertheless, $13 for each definitely seemed fair given the quantity and quality. The included tortilla chips were also good. I definitely plan on coming back!

Before I go into depth on my visit, I want to preface this review by saying our server was very kind and understanding. With that being said, the overall experience I endured at this restaurant was subpar at best. I was with a group of 4 and we were seated around 7:00 pm on a monday right away and shortly after we were served chips and salsa. The salsa was very middle of the road; no spice and tasted like plain tomato sauce. We waited around 20 minutes before anyone came to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Everyone knew what they wanted to order so we all ordered our food right after ordering our drinks. One of us asked if they would be able to order a burrito with shrimp which the manager told the server that was okay, but 5-10 minutes later they came back to inform them that that actually wouldn’t be possible. Our drinks were brought out (3 out of 4, and still no water) and shortly after 2 of our meals came. It took about another 15 minutes for the last 2 meals to arrive. I got the Queso Birria and Korean barbecue tacos. The Korean bbq taco was really good. One of us ordered a smothered burrito with no meat that did not come smothered, and another one of us ordered a carne asada chimichanga, (the meal that arrived 15-20 minutes later than the rest of our food) but was given a chicken burrito. As I stated at the beginning of my review, our server was very understanding and I am not blaming them, but overall this was not a good...
