Krudos Sushi & Modern Kitchen — Restaurant in Whittier

I went here about a month ago. Did the surf and turf roll. It was delicious. I'm not a fan of crab so I asked for it without and they did it. I came back tonight expecting the same. I asked for a miso soup, my gf ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, and then I asked for the surf and turf no crab. The guy repeated both her and my order back. He brought out the miso and it was very sour. It tasted like they put lemon in it. I sent it back and let them know it was sour. Server never apogized or asked if I'd like another. When the sushi came out, 1 of the entire spicy tuna rolls was forgotten. My surf and turf had crab even though he repeated back no crab. When I brought it up he simply took my plate and then gave us the cold shoulder. There were only 2 other people in the building. So it wasn't busy. After taking my playe they brought out the 2nd spicy tuna after we brought it up. Half wau thru that they dropped off a new miso. So I figured my roll would be out soon. NOPE!!! And the server wouldn't check on us or even drop the check. I had to flag down another server. Even when we left, our original server looked at us and turned the other way instead of atleast saying bye. Horrible staff!! Will not be back...

Horrible service!! Walked in and stood there for a while since they have mo one to great you. The cooks looked at us for a while and finally one of them went to tell us we can sit wherever we want. Sat down and only 3 tables were busy, 2 had only 2 people and the other had 3 people so not busy at all. Sat there for a while and no one came to greet us or bring us the menu. The waitress passed by out table twice and no acknowledgement of whatsoever. She passed by again, someone outside asked her something she went to help them it came back in no acknowledgment. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. As we were leaving the waitress came behind us so my sister told her we were leaving because we weren’t helped, there wasn’t much reaction she really didn’t care. This was out 4th time going there and the lack of attention has always fallen short but we really wanted to give it another try since we like supporting out city restaurants but this time it was the worst.Based on the service, we will not...

Hmmm, don't know where to begin. Walked in and wasn't sure what was happening. No greeting, no host station...nothing. 2 booths in the front entrance, one was occupied by staff eating! The rest of the seating was in the back and on patio. No sushi bar seating at all. The sushi bar wasn't set up for anything like that.

Seems like they wanted to turn the place into a club/ lounge with music SO LOUD you couldn't think. If I was several drinks in, it was a Saturday night @ 11pm, sure! But not 6pm on a Thursday. Terrible marketing.

Food was...overpriced? I mean look, it seems anyone can put a $130 tomahawk steak on the menu and it's this "expensive novelty and classic" thing? Not here. Steakhouse maybe, but not here. Potential was there....it was ripe with potential. It reeked of potential. But unfortunately, the food, atmosphere, service all came up short. Man, I liked this place when it was Bambooze. I probably won't be back....
