Tried this place for the first time as it is fairly new. I had a great experience during my visit, staff was friendly and attentive and the food was very tasty. The restaurant itself has had some lite remodeling and is overall clean and in good condition. They do offer complementary chips and salsa, both were fresh and had a great flavor. They offer the usual dishes found at a quality sit-down Mexican restaurant and appeared to be made with quality ingredients. The Carne asada while good was not representative of typical Carne asada, it was more of a sirloin then a skirt steak and was not sliced. It did not seem to be marinated in the typical Latino spice mixture and if it was it was not flavorful enough. Overall this was a good place to eat a great meal and I will be visiting again.

This is our new go-to Mexican place in the area. I have low expectations on steak from your typical Mexican restaurant, but the meat on the steak nachos was very good. Much more tender than I expected, with a wonderful grilled flavor. I was likewise impressed by the texture of the chicken in my burrito; surprisingly tender! My wife and I loved the freshly-fried, thin tortilla chips and she appreciates that the salsa wasn't very spicy. Our server was exceptional. We were seated very quick, nevermind it was prime time Saturday night. Dishes were cleared promptly, glasses kept full, and they always confirmed that everything was tasting great and as ordered. El Habanero is a step above all the Mexican in our town, Front Royal, and we're happy to make the 25min drive.

Unacceptable child like portion size for the Steak and Chicken Fajitas!!! Ordered delivery and received the smallest amount ever for fajitas!!! I order fajitas all over the country multiple times a week being a Truck driver and this is the worst as far as portion goes! Must’ve been a mistake. Uou can literally see the bottom of the pan and count 6 small pieces of chicken and 5 small pieces of steak for $18 something bucks! The flavor was good but absolutely not enough. This entrée literally looks like they HAND PLACED each individual piece of meat and peppers in the pan as to not give too much, ridiculous! There’s not even any sauce or anything in the pan. I’ll avoid this place next time I’m in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night and were seated right away. The menu was extensive and had several interesting options. Chips were fresh and salsa tasted fine but mild...I wish there was a bit more of a kick to it🔥 The servers were very kind, but very slow to get our food and our check. When the food came out it was very good though. My husband had the enchiladas verde and I can't recall the name of the dish I had but it was chicken with veggies, chorizo, and queso served with rice and beans. Very heavy but tasty. I'd probably return but would order takeout instead of waiting at the restaurant.

Our first time here and I only wish we’d come in much sooner! Our food was absolutely delicious, the best meal I have had in Winchester in quite a while. I had the Enchilada Verdes, chicken enchiladas with green sauce; fresh, hot, so flavorful and my portion was extremely generous. My husband had chorizo tacos, authentic, simple and tasty. If you like hot sauce be sure to ask for the house red, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is lovely, clean and the wait staff were great. We will for sure be back.

I rarely give out 5 stars. El Habanero hit a home run. Their chips and salsa were perfect. Nice and thin and crispy, the salsa was a good blend of tomato and onions. My wife is hard to please with the seafood soup, but they made it to her liking. My Enchiladas Verde was great as was. The service was excellent and the restaurant look good. They also have outside seating surrounded by trees for privacy. If I could give them 10 stars I would👍.
