Today is 9/19/2024 and still no response from the owner giving me the real working phone number to call about this problem. Are you going to respond?
I left a negative review of K&W on 9/13/2024 and received a response from the so called "owner" asking me to please call and talk about the review (see attached). When I did call multiple times, the phone number given on the response did not work. I tried multiple times thinking maybe I dialed the wrong number but the number I was given didn't work.
The owner wrote in response to this review: "Your satisfaction is important to us, and we look forward to the chance to make amends."
Make amends?? Really?? How do you make amends when you give out a phone number that doesn't even work? Again and again and again, piss poor management. My 11 year old could do better than this. Want me to call you? Leave a real phone number next time!
If I could leave a negative star I would.

I took my 11 year old daughter tonight (9/13/2024) for supper. I thought it would be like K&W used to be. But it was a total disappointment. The server at the beginning of the serving line was highly unfriendly, the desserts were at the beginning of the food line (why are desserts at the beginning and not the end like C&H Cafeteria)? There were only a couple of desserts to choose from and they looked VERY unappetizing. Honestly, the food was terrible. My daughter barely touched her food and we left hungry. No wonder there were only a handful of customers there. K&W is going downhill and not at all what is used to be. This was a total waste of my hard earned money. Read moreI have eaten at K&W since 1971 and tonight by far was the absolute worst meal I've ever HAD at K&W if not one of the worst top 10 in my life. How do I start? Well all the food I got was not hot it was barely luke warm. I had my kid with me so I didn't bother looking for a manager who you never see any leadership there anyway now. Yams were hard and the green beans were this time over salted, tasteless and someone did a half was job of destringing the beans. 30% was string and no beans. The country style STEAK which is one of my favorites should have had the word NIKE on it because I could barely cut it it was so tough. The turkey and dressing was not only cold but very bland and the stuffing was so bad that stovetop stuffing would had been an improvement. You can tell the Tea container hasn't been really cleaned in a long time because it had a sour taste to it. I've worked as a corporate trainer at a lot if restaurants and I know that taste well when the staff doesn't clean it properly. I told the cashier about my experience and she said,"did you tell the server?" and I said no because she has nothing to do with supervision if the cooking of the back of the House. She then told me a lot if the recipes had been changed or modified lately. WHAT?????. WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE A RECIPE THAT HAS WORKED SINCE THE 1930'S??????. Read moreMy daughter and I and two friends have been visiting the K&W on Hanes Mill Rd. in Winston-Salem, NC on our way to church. For the last few times my daughter and I have gotten the chicken fingers and they have been so very dry. Last night (Sept. 17) it was just and friend and myself. I got the chicken fingers and she got the grilled chicken. My chicken fingers still were dry and her chicken was full of grizzles. The manager came by and asked about our meal and I told him about my chicken. He said very smartly "Well it they were so bad where are the other three". I told him I was hungry and needed to eat something. He said why not send it back and I said I don't send food back in restaurants because of what they might do to it. He said all that was a lie.They we told him about my friends chicken and he said if it was so bad why do we keep coming back and my friend told him "Maybe we won't, because I don't like your attitude". He quickly tried to back out of it and said he did not want people to pay for something they can't eat. He was very rude to us. But at the end he did not charge us for our food.
