I Was waiting on my husband to get done riding, and decided to pop into Doc's since it was the first place I saw. At first I decided to sit at the bar and just order a beer, but the bartender was more interested in the gentleman that she obviously knew, then to take care of the three people that had come to the bar. After ten minutes of waiting and not even an acknowledgement from the bartender, i asked the hostess if I could sit outside. I waited another 15 minutes once outside, and the bartender decided to come out. Making it known that no one told her she had a table outside and she usually doesn't have tables outside. I told her all is well and I was in no rush and it's not a problem. I ordered an IPA and the spinach dip. IPA was good, spinach dip was mediocre. When my husband arrived, I made it known the bartender was serving us and it would make it easier on her if he went inside to order a drink. He did so, and the bartender told him that if he's sitting outside he needs to order with the server assigned to his table. He explained that she was in fact our server and she said she wasn't. Me thinking that this must be some sort of mistake I went inside and explained to her that he was my husband and I figured it would be easier on her for him to come inside instead of her running back and forth. She decided to state "you're cute, but I am not your server. Never was." Totally thrown off guard and completely confused, I decided to ask another waitress for our tab. The other waitress stated that she can't print it for me due to the fact that the bartender was my server. I explained to her that she apparently is not my server anymore, and I don't care who brings my tab out, I'll take anyone. In the end the manager brought it out. Overall, I enjoyed the view, just unfortunate that you can't find good help these days, and or you walk into bad attitudes. I once was a server/bartender too. I know how frustrating it can be to have to keep the bar as well as tables, still doesn't give anyone the right to be rude to...
Read moreI’ve never left a review for any restaurant in my life. I’m not someone who nitpicks or looks for flaws, and I understand that restaurants can have off days with food quality, service, or cleanliness. With that said, I feel compelled to share just how terrible my experience at Doc’s Roadhouse was.
Everything about this place was disappointing. The floors were sticky, the bathrooms were filthy with overflowing trash, and the overall environment felt neglected. Our table was upstairs, right next to a snowblower and trash on the floor. While our server genuinely did his best (I have no complaints about him), the rest of the experience was abysmal.
The food was, without a doubt, some of the worst I’ve ever had. Most of our party of 10 felt sick the next day. The brisket was dry and tough, resembling beef jerky. The sausage tasted burnt, the mac and cheese was unappetizing, and even the fries were bad – which seems almost impossible to mess up. Mixed drinks were poorly made, served in the wrong glasses, and barely drinkable. The beer was the only decent item we had. The smoked chicken looked like scraps, as if it had been sitting at the bottom of a tray for hours. After eating the brisket grilled cheese, my daughter was sick all night.
The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling. It was dirty to the point of being unhygienic, and I can’t understand how it’s still in operation. I’ve seen a few positive reviews with nice food photos, but I can assure you that what we were served looked nothing like that.
This is my first online review ever, which speaks volumes about how strongly I feel. This wasn’t a one-off bad experience—it’s clear this establishment hasn’t been cleaned or maintained in years. Avoid Doc’s Roadhouse at all costs. It’s a dirty, poorly managed place with terrible food and no...
Read moreWorst Experience Ever!!!
We stay at Winter Park Resort for 4 days weekend and went to Doc's Roadhouse our first night. Food were horrible, came out uncook, salty and taste like trash. Our waitress never come back to ask us how's our food and if we need anything else.
When we asked for a check, they bring it out and add more than 20% gratuity in our total amount. Our total amount for 4 of us with food and drink was $126.75 and total gratuity amount $26.92. 20% of $126.75 will be $25.35, so $26.92 was more than 20%. and we also got tax on total amount (food and tip).... We asked for the manager and asked why that got add in for more than 20% when we receive 1 to 2 stars service from waitress? Also let the manager know their food were horrible and told ask him to go and check out our table and see food still there, no one touching it. All the manager got to say was sorry, nothing I can do. I asked our accounting department about the tip issue but they said that how it suppose to be.
REALLY? You're ripping off people because most people will not pay attention to it.
DO NOT go there. Vertical will be a better place. A little higher price but food was good and good service. Also, they have a pizza and soup bowl place which is much better...
