Food: Starters- $13, Braised Pork Taquitos. Crunchy, savory, delicious. Came with 4 taquitos. Great blend of flavors. Almost did not want to split this with my quest, it was too good. Everything tasted so fresh.
Entrée- $17? Chilaquiles with beef birria, red sauce. chef's kiss This was exquisite, the chips had the right consistency, the sauce was saucing, and the spices were spicy. I would recommend this as a good brunch item. I would rate the spiciness as mid, not over powering but not lacking. Can not recall other entrée.
Drinks-I can not recall the names of the two drinks we ordered. One was like a mezcal bloody Mary, super spicy, Smokey and the other was a Mexican coffee with rum. The Mexican coffee was good and we would recommend. They were both unique drinks but the coffee was the one we would recommend.
Service: Servers had great personality and were friendly and eager to help. The issue we had was the long wait times to see the server excluding the wait time for food to arrive for an almost empty restaurant. We spent a lot of time waiting to see the server after we were sat, waiting for her to arrive to take our order, ect. It was excessively long and noticeable especially with only 4 or 5 other tables occupied out of the rest of the restaurant for brunch.
Atmosphere: Décor was pleasant with notable areas to admire including the hardwood floors and the art work/décor on the wall next to the bar. Color palate was calm and cohesive with the tile on the bar and the types of wood accents throughout the restaurant. I would want to come back and see the place at night with table top candles. I can imagine it would be a very romantic date spot. Indoor plants need a little attention or swap out. tables and seating are close together. The runner and the waitress were extremely warm and friendly and looked happy to be there.
Parking: Brunch had an almost empty parking lot, however the surrounding area is a popular wine destination and I can see parking becoming an issue during peak wine times.
Verdict: Elevated Mexican food and cocktails. I would come again but I would want to try coming during dinner time. Split decision on whether the bill of $100 for two was justified.
SOMETHING I THOUGHT WAS REALLY ODD: If you use a card to pay, it doesn't allow you to tip less than 20% or bypass tip if your...
Read moreWe recently dined at Pablo y Pablo in Woodinville, and it was a fun experience. As a vegetarian, I decided to try all their veg tacos - mushroom, sweet potato, and cauliflower. The chips and cascabel salsa were the ideal starters. The salsa had a smoky kick that added an extra layer of flavor.
The mushroom taco was an absolute winner. It was bursting with earthy flavors, and the texture was just perfect. The combination of sautéed mushrooms, fresh veggies, and a delicious sauce made this taco a standout. I couldn't get enough of it.
On the other hand, the sweet potato taco stole my heart. The sweetness of the perfectly roasted sweet potatoes paired brilliantly with the spicy and tangy toppings. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving more. 5/5
Unfortunately, the cauliflower taco didn't quite hit the mark for me. While I appreciate the effort to incorporate cauliflower, it lacked the depth of flavor and excitement that the other two tacos delivered. It wasn't terrible by any means, just not as memorable as the others.
Now, let's talk about those tequila battered artichokes! Wow, they were a delightful surprise. The crispy, golden coating perfectly complemented the tender artichoke hearts. Dip them in the cascabel salsa or the verde aioli, and you've got yourself a heavenly combination that's hard to resist (The last few bits were a little oily though) 4.5/5 - Highly recommend
To wash it all down, I sipped on a refreshing Moscow Mule, which was excellently crafted and balanced. It was a perfect match for the spicy and savory flavors of the tacos.
The El Pablo, a veggie larger plate, was fine but nothing too special. It didn't quite stand out amidst the other culinary delights I tried during this visit.
The charming setting and welcoming atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the meal
Overall, Pablo y Pablo offers some good veggie options. I'd rate them a solid 4/5. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. #VeggieTacoAdventure #PabloYumYum #CulinaryDelights...
Read moreI was excited to come here for my birthday to celebrate with my family and left very letdown. I'm not sure if it's a lack of staffing or communication with servers/system/managers but it was a mess. The restaurant was not busy and my birthday was on a weekday. Had a party of 7 and everyone ordered food. After waiting an hour, food arrived and only 4 people received their dish. A half hour goes by, and the manager comes to our table to say that 3 people's orders didn't even register on their system so no food was ever made. (Everyone ordered together) The manager kept saying this is on me, "your dishes are on me." We assumed that this would be compensation for the wait time and the system error. When we were all done with food, our table received a surprise dessert plate when we didn't order it. The server mentioned that it was basically a sorry about the mess up from earlier. (We were all like cool this is awesome and like a birthday treat) When the bill came, it was a surprise when everything was on the bill and the 3 meals were not taken off. (So just very confused at this point on what was mentioned to us at the table earlier) We talked to our server to see what was going on and the manager joined the conversation. The manager denied saying the 3 people's food was compensated for and that the desserts that were given to us was equivalent to the price that would have been removed from our bill. Don't get me wrong the dessert was delicious but would have preferred the food to be taken off of the bill. The manager didn't want to give any sort of information for a higher-up person and continued to be rude.
For the service that was given and for the over $300 bill, it was not worth it.
The food was good. I hope there is a better...
