China Fun — Restaurant in Woodstock

This restaurant is HORRIFIC!!! Nearly every item I purchased was horrible and had a bad taste to it. I ordered the rib tips-the meat was sour and drenched in sauce. Beef sticks -the beef was tough and tasted strange. The lomein had a vinegar taste and was really ‘watery’, and the calamari tasted like fried seasonless batter. I had to check it so see if anything was inside it. I had to throw most of it out. Overall, I spent well over $50 on take out from here and my entire meal was awful. They actually called me back after I ordered, (over the phone mind you) and told me they only had one order or the beef sticks when I ordered two, which is why I changed to the horrible rib tips. I should have known something was up then. How do you only have one order of beef sticks on a Saturday at 6PM? In hindsight I think all of the meat was old, there is just no way EVERY meat product can taste that way without either Bad meat or foul play. Someone should really call the health department on these people to see what’s really going on. Next time I will check...

Still good food, great customer service. Added a photo to their album of the lunch special of Hunan style mixed vegetables you can see I've half eaten it before my review.

Update: August 30 2018 Food and customer service keeps getting better! Its amazing! Eat here 6-8 times a month probably.

Old review. Pretty good food. I've enjoyed the Hunan style bean curd, extra spicy and it was good, another day I also ordered the lunch combo vegetables with fried rice and egg roll and it was decent, filled me up and had left overs.

My friend ordered dinner size chicken teriyaki and he said it was good. I like the hot and sour soup too, just be careful if your sodium sensitive but that's almost every Chinese restaurant. If you order no msg they actually make it that was, which is great because it gives me a bad headache usually and found out its a neurotoxin so guess that's why I get a headache from it. Golden china in canton was closed so I decided to try this place. First off they were take out only. Can only assume it is because of lack of labor. I ordered 4 dinners (2 orange,1 general tso, 1 king pao)with fried rice and an extra fried rice. Since spring rolls didn’t come with the combo had to order 4 of them separately. Was very shocked when the total was just under $75. Ouch. Got home to find 4 meals with only 3 rice. Called the restaurant to be told dinners come with a small rice so 2 dinners equal one large rice which they gave me and the extra rice. If a small rice come with dinner I’d hate to see what comes with the lunch portion.

The fried rice was no more than white rice with soy sauce and very little egg. Can’t tell the difference in the orange chicken and the General Tso either. Definitely not worth the $$. Didn’t see a difference between them and Panda. I’ll hold off for Golden China to be...
