My worst fear has come true š I door dashed some food from Mito Japanese steakhouse for my kids and I as Iām working and didnāt feel like making dinner and didnāt have time to go pick anything up. Food gets here, Iām making everyoneās plates and my 7 year old asks for some of the fish eggs on the sushi. I tell her yes and as sheās going to scoop some off the top of the sushi she says āewww mom why is the sushi lovingā I could have died. Lo and behold there was a maggot in the sushi. I called the restaurant and explained to the woman who answered the phone that there was a maggot in my food I ordered from them through door dash. She tells me āimpossible I did that order myself! Idk how the DoorDash guy gave you it but it looked fine when I checked it.ā The bags came sealed directly from the restaurant. The DoorDash driver didnāt put a maggot in my food š just kept insisting over and over that it was impossible. Well it is possible because Iām looking right at it. She said how is possible!!? I said because your restaurant is dirty and you have bugs in your foodā¦she got angry with me and said okay you bring to me and Iāll look at it. I told her that I am working and not able to drive there tonight and she said well I canāt do anything unless I see for myself. I told her I had pictures and videos. The board of health is definitely being contacted. This is disgusting 𤮠Iām just glad my 7 year old noticed before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrendous level of food quality - avoid its sushi at all costs. We went in for all you can eat sushi and ordered a corona. The lime that came with the corona was all rotten, to the point that I thought it was lemon the entire time instead of lime! The discoloration was crazy. After we asked for a new piece of lime, the server came back telling us that she was told it was just skin, and gave us two more pieces of rotten lime. Great.
Then it is all downhills from there. The first round of sushi we ordered took 20 mins, which we were jokingly thinking that thatās a way for them to limit how much we order.
Once the sushi arrives, thatās where it really get lit. We immediately saw the discoloration and the moisture on the seaweed wrap, looking like itās been stored with moisture for a long time. The taste of sushi was very questionable, with the slimy texture and VERY strong vinegar flavor that felt like was covering whatever non-fresh sushi there is.
We sat there and tried 2 pieces of sushi each, and had to make the tough decision to get out and run for our lives.
Had the audacity to let us pay half of the all you can eat cost on top. It was a nice gesture already that we are willing to pay for what we drink and ate, but we are not willing to pay for what I came in and suffer.
Wonāt be seeing us again! šš¤¢š¤®
PS: ugh the taste of slime is still there as u am writing this I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy time at Mito Steakhouse in Woonsocket was honestly incredible. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the restaurant is elegant but not over-the-top, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The atmosphere alone wouldāve made the trip worth it, but the food? Next level.
Everything I ordered was amazing, and surprisingly affordable for how high-quality it all was. The standout for me, hands down, was the crab Rangoons. Iām not exaggerating when I say they were the best Iāve ever had perfectly crispy, filled to the brim, and packed with flavor. I would honestly go back just for those.
Even the bathrooms were lovely, clean, well-designed, and clearly taken care of, which always makes a difference. Overall, Mito Steakhouse really impressed me on all fronts. Delicious food, great prices, beautiful interior, and even the small details were on point. Iāll definitely be...
