Absolute nightmare. Granted yes it was the day before Thanksgiving and I expected it to be unoriginality. I first go with my 8 year old daughter. We stand in what appears to be the check in line (line that was coming out the door). As we waited I overheard a conversation between the manager and a coworker, explaining to each other what line is for what. I asked the manager what line have we been waiting in for about a hour. Only to be told we were in the wrong line and holiday meal pick ups will be behind the building in a large refrigerated unit. So we go outside with the 10 other people that just found out there was and outside line for holiday meal pickups. Oh, I forgot to mention that there was atleast 50 people in the building with no concept of social distancing. Ok so we are outside waiting in line and had 1 customer look me in the eye and went to the customer infront of me and asked if this was the holiday meal pick up line and decided to stand inline infront of me...ok. let it go. Then another customer came out and did the same thing. I decided to bring my daughter home as people were starting to get nasty. I come back and the outside and I was a good 25 people back. Almost 2 hours before it is my turn. I gave them the online receipt and the manager that informed me that the line I should have been the 3 line....no clue there was a 3rd. That line verified it was paid for. So I now wait in the line for a good 1/2 hour...with the other people who were squeezed in the building (they totally violated the capacity requirement). Now I'm on my way out to get back in the line I already waited in. The manger happened to walk in as I was going to the end of the line and I simply asked since I already waited a good 2 hours can I please get the food and I was floored by her remark " yeah you everyone else here"...I was speechless and just went to the end of the line. If it weren't for the customers that were waiting infront and back of me yelled to me. Hey your spot is up here you shouldn't have to wait inline again so I went up and the staff were extremely rude as I came back to my original spot. I was handed 4 receipts. I get up to the desk and the worker asked me for the receipt. I indicated that I was handed 4 separate receipts and placed them down on the table and asked which is the one she needed. She said I don't know and handed them back to me. So I am sorting through the receipts and find 2 that have a list of what was order. I handed her 1 and she said I need the 2nd one as well...to myself didn't you just tell me you didn't know what they look like and she is asking for the duplicate. Again, let it go. You are almost out of there. Worse experience ever. Management didn't have the situation under control, she was extremely rude and disrespectful. She made it sound like I was fault for waiting in the line to pick up the meal without checking in with the third line...when she was the one that sent me to the incorrect line in the...
Read moreToday, Sunday 28th 2024, my family and I decided to visit the restaurant on Park Avenue. It is a shame that we chose to go there. As we had just stepped in, a young fellow asked if we were all set. We had been there for less than 30 seconds. We we’re the only clients in the site. The attitude of the employee and a guy that we eventually during our ordering, found out that he was the manager, was almost indifferent to us. Both employees had a none welcoming attitude towards myself, my husband and my daughter. We decided to choose a family meal, but as we observed the attitude on both individuals, we tried to leave and not order anything. My daughter told the young man who was about to start serving the food to wait for a couple of times, but he started to serve the food. The situation was awkward and we decided to just continue with the order. When we asked for the spinach, we were told there was none. That was very inconvenient, but we felt it was already too late. We felt pressured the decide what we wanted to choose (their body language was telling us that we were bothering). After we had already ordered, we were told by the manager that the soda machine was not working. Again, it was very inconvenient because we were interested in using the machine, but our food was already served. We felt that we had to buy whatever they had. We bought a 2 litter soda. The chicken was tasteless. No salt and no seasoning. As we were eating our food, a female employee came out from the kitchen area on the back and slammed the door so hard that we were all scared by the noise and my 6-year-old grandson jumped on the chair. As the woman came out from the bathroom, she looked directly at us, of course we were looking at her in an expectation to see what she was going to do we the door, this time. She continued and slammed the door even harder than before. She showed no carefulness or consideration towards us. At moment there were two other individuals sitting at the restaurant and eating their food. She never Apologized to any of us. The customer service was awful. Even if there was any tension between the staff, we had nothing to do with that and we had the choice to go to any other restaurant in Worcester, but unfortunately we went to Boston Market. Your employees need to understand that their supervisor or manager are not the ones who pay for their services, but we the clients bring the money and we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and even more when the clients are respectful and considerate citizens as my husband, my daughter and I. We decided that we are not ever going back there. Our professional and church friends will know about this. We don’t want them to go through such a negative experience. We ordered a family meal. It was about $44. Our problem was not the price, but the way we were treated by all the employees...

I placed an order with Boston Market several days in advance and received a confirmation that my meal would be ready by 11:15 AM on Thanksgiving Day. While I appreciate the store being open and serving those of us who work and can’t prepare a full Thanksgiving meal, the experience was truly disappointing.
I arrived about 15 minutes after my scheduled pickup time to give them extra time to prepare my order. Despite this, I ended up waiting an additional hour and a half. Even after the long wait, half of my order was missing. Thankfully, I checked the bags thoroughly before leaving, or I would’ve discovered later that they didn’t include the regular-sized meatloaf I ordered.
The issues didn’t stop there. I had ordered ribs, but they were out and substituted them with ham without notifying me. They also ran out of corn, beef gravy, and brownies. I had ordered a large brownie, but they tried to give me just one small brownie, claiming it was all they had.
The total for this meal was $159, and the entire process was chaotic and poorly managed. All I heard repeatedly was “I’m sorry,” but no effort was made to offer a discount, a substitute of equal value, or any token of appreciation to make up for the inconvenience. The manager seemed unable—or unwilling—to address the situation with adequate customer service solutions.
This experience was the worst I’ve had. After working a 3-to-11 shift and hoping for a smooth Thanksgiving dinner to get some rest before work again, this ordeal left me frustrated, sleep-deprived, and without several key parts of my meal.
I’ll never rely on Boston Market for Thanksgiving again. Next time, I’d rather cook two simple dishes myself and avoid this kind of stress altogether. Save your money and your time—this experience is...
