Before reading this review, it should be noted that I’m a cupcake/dessert enthusiast. I spend the majority of my free time traveling around to authentic bakeries with my girlfriend, trying to find the best hidden gem places around for sweets and treats that we can recommend to our friends. We try to keep a very open mind going into these stores, as we know many of them are small family owned businesses simply looking to give their love to their community and those around them. That being said, this place almost made me puke out my entire small intestine inch by inch. Before even going to make our order, we were already disgusted by the crunch of the various grime and strange crumbs underneath our shoes. The entire place seems as though it is cleaned no more than annually. After 25 or so minutes waiting in a 3 person line, we are finally at the counter. We are greeted (if you can call it that) by a girl who clearly wants to be anywhere but where she is talking to customers. We are shocked at the horrendous price of the cupcakes we order, but figure it’s worth it if they’re really as good as everyone claims. After dealing with one of the worst people I’ve ever talked to in my life, we are finally ready to try these “incredible” cupcakes. On my first bite I began to worry there was something wrong with my taste buds. Not in a covid, taste-losing manner, more in the sense that never in my life did I know a “dessert” could taste so awful. I honestly think they might scrape the disgusting floors and tables for the toppings on the cupcakes. If you can manage to power your way through one of the worst “treats” you will ever come across, (which I could not), you will be blessed with a wonderful trip to the bathroom for an hour or so regretting ever finding out about the queens cups. I feel like a terrible boyfriend for even bringing my poor girlfriend near this place. If you want a delicious dessert, or even just a decent place with relatively friendly people, stay as far away from the queens cups as you can. You’re much more likely to meet nice people in an ill-lit worcester alleyway.
