Divan Restaurant — Restaurant in Tashkent

Came to try it out. We’ve been to five or six Turkish restaurants in Tashkent before, and nowhere else had such lousy service. We waited for one person’s breakfast for half an hour! Nothing was brought at all, tea was served, and they completely forgot about us until I went to complain and remind them. Small dishes with honey and kaymak (clotted cream),salads, cheeses – are you growing these from scratch or something? In half an hour, they could have at least served some bread with tomatoes. The sausages and börek were barely warm – either they’d been waiting for us for too long, or they weren’t heated properly. The hostess stood there the whole time just glancing at us, judging by the fact that we weren’t offered any discounts, no apologies – this is normal there? The waiter explained that they had many orders – total nonsense, there were people around, but where we were sitting (outside), there was no one else, just a disorganized mess on the staff’s part. She explained that they wanted to serve it all together lol. Dear Turkish restaurant, is this how breakfast is usually served? After that, we waited another 5 minutes for menemen and kavurma. Long story short, I don’t recommend it. The place is beautiful, true, and they deserve a star for that, but the food – nothing special, prices are above average compared to other places, and the service is completely terrible.
