I’m a pretty health conscious person normally back at home and also have a gluten allergy. Since coming to Vietnam my diet has gone a bit to the wayside here….between deep fried, carb heavy dishes, and gluten exposure in many meals through ingredients like soy sauce.
I was lucky to stumble upon Lanterns Cafe.
The food is all delicious using clean and fresh ingredients, and they have gluten free options. The owner actually sat with me to go through the menu and said it’s completely customizable with some ideas of what I could do, in addition to what was already available. I ended up ordering something off of a new menu she is developing that is completely gluten free and vegan… but the restaurant does offer animal based proteins for those who want. It was so delicious. She later returned to share her journey with me.. her passion is in health and female hormones. From her own journey in healing herself, the owner is constantly researching and applying what she learns to creating the healthiest, tastiest dishes. She wakes up at 6 am every day to swim at the beach, do yoga, and workout. She eats the same things she cooks for customers. The restaurant is truly a labor of love, and I came back to eat here three times during my stay in Hoi An. It’s a super cute interior with an open front so you can people watch right in the heart of the town. They also sell some cute handicrafts and there is tons of cool air flowing and good music, decor, vibes. I wish this place existed where I live in the states… My tummy felt so good after each meal I would go every...
Read moreHey guys, welcome back to another Cindie review. Today me and my friend Fred the frog (if you know you know) had an extravagant meal which included a bravo beef sarnie and a ravishing rosti. I’m all about the positivity but sadly I had to bring today’s review down to a solid 4 star because if I’m honest with you, that bread was so sweet I had to call the tooth fairy. Sadly the rosti was lacking in avocado 🕳️. Now I’ll be honest, the juice is something to talk about. It looked as good as a sunset in Japan. Unfortunately the service also let down Lanterns Cafe.Healthy Brunch because we were absolutely FAMISHED by the time it arrived. Don’t you know these hungover girlies need their food!!! There was fat on the bacon. Anyway they kept us toasty warm through the rain storm so thanks a lot Lanterns Cafe.Healthy Brunch cos otherwise we would have been washed away and our fans wouldn’t have been able to read this exhilarating review!!! Stay safe out there guys. Yours...

This spot is a little gem! Perfect place to start the day or get some work done while enjoying really good food. The vibe here is super chill — cozy seating, great natural light, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer.
The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The avocado toast with poached eggs and feta was absolutely delicious — creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The yogurt bowl was another favorite, loaded with fresh fruits, crunchy granola, and just the right amount of sweetness.
Drinks were on point too! The iced coffee was smooth and refreshing, and the tropical juice was so fresh and vibrant — a perfect way to cool down on a hot day.
Overall, it’s a great cafe for breakfast, brunch, or just hanging out with friends or your laptop. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re...
