Strange experience. Got seated at a table and given menus and 2-3 staff hovered after giving us the menus waiting to take our order. Being overly attentive can be off putting when we’re trying to read the menu! The menu itself is extensive but all in Vietnamese, and they have a separate single page with items that included an English translation. Using google translate I tried to order off the Vietnamese section (a beef with chilli and lemongrass dish), but was told it wasn’t available. Settled on pork ribs. My fiancé had sautéed prawns in garlic butter. Both dishes were tasty, but the bread with the prawns was stale. CANNOT understand how this has so many highly rated reviews. Do not come here, there are literally families living right beside with stalls set up selling 1-2 items who do a better job. They don’t have a menu up for a reason, CRAZY expensive for 1/10 food. Some will come @ us and say why did you eat all your food if it was so bad, well we had just paid a taxi to here and we were proper starving and we’ll always give a place a go but just not worth it. Staff stand over you waiting for you to order which is off putting as well (I know it’s culture sometimes) but the whole experience just not worth it at all. The food was tasteless. The BBQ pork was cold, sliced and put in a circle. You could see true the meat that thin and not more than 40 grams of meat. Came with some horrible trassie sauce that was salty an didn't go with it at all. The bok tjoy was watery, no garlic, ginger, or salt, with some sprinkles on it that didn't add anything to the dish. 2 tiny bowls of steamed rice (portion for 4 year old). No soda zero of light. Beer was warm and they offered to put some ice? Really? LWe ask for a cold beer or just leave it out. Finally we got a cold beer.
