Pizza 4P's on Xuan Thuy in Ho Chi Minh City is, without a doubt, a culinary experience that transcends the typical pizza joint. It's an establishment that has masterfully blended Japanese precision and hospitality with Italian culinary tradition, resulting in a dining affair that's both innovative and deeply satisfying. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of refined casualness. The design is a harmonious mix of rustic charm and modern minimalism, with warm lighting and comfortable seating that encourages you to relax and savor the moment. The open kitchen, a hallmark of Pizza 4P's, allows you to witness the chefs at work, crafting each dish with meticulous attention to detail. This transparency not only adds to the ambiance but also reinforces the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness.
The service at Pizza 4P's Xuan Thuy is exemplary. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They are eager to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. This level of personalized service, combined with the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere, creates a sense of genuine hospitality that is rare to find. Even during peak hours, the staff maintain their composure and professionalism, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of. They are adept at anticipating your needs, refilling drinks, and clearing plates with a seamless efficiency that enhances the overall dining experience. It's clear that the staff are thoroughly trained and deeply invested in upholding the restaurant's high standards.
While Pizza 4P's is renowned for its pizzas, which are undeniably exceptional, my personal favorite dish is the crab pasta. This seemingly simple dish is a testament to the restaurant's ability to elevate classic flavors to new heights. The pasta itself is cooked to al dente perfection, providing a satisfying chewiness that perfectly complements the rich and creamy sauce. The sauce is a symphony of flavors, with the sweetness of fresh crab meat mingling with the savory notes of the broth and the subtle tang of the tomatoes. The generous portion of crab meat is tender and succulent, adding a luxurious texture to the dish. The dish is finished with a sprinkle of fresh herbs, which adds a burst of freshness and aroma. The balance of flavors and textures is impeccable, making the crab pasta a truly unforgettable culinary experience. It's a dish that exemplifies the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients and showcasing them in a way that highlights their natural flavors.
Of course, no review of Pizza 4P's would be complete without mentioning their pizzas. The crust is thin and crispy, with a slightly chewy edge that provides a satisfying contrast in textures. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, sourced from local farms and suppliers whenever possible. The cheese, often made in-house, is creamy and melts beautifully, creating a gooey and delicious topping. The menu offers a wide variety of pizzas, from classic Margherita to more innovative creations like the iconic flower pizza or the teriyaki chicken. Each pizza is a work of art, carefully crafted with a balance of flavors and textures that tantalizes the taste buds. The wood-fired oven imparts a subtle smoky flavor to the crust, adding another layer of complexity to the dish. The presentation is also impeccable, with each pizza served on a wooden board and garnished with fresh herbs.
The restaurant's commitment to sustainability is evident in its sourcing practices and its efforts to minimize waste. The use of locally sourced ingredients not only supports the local economy but also ensures that the food is fresh and flavorful. The restaurant's dedication to quality and sustainability is a testament to its commitment to providing a truly exceptional...
Read moreI don't often post reviews. It is either because it was very good, or very bad.
Yesterday is one of the worst experiences I have had from a restaurant when travelling. I have been at 4p multiple times. Never again: We arrived without reservation, and was told it would be a table ready in 5-10 minutes, which is no problem at all.
We waited patiently, and 15 min had gone by. We then noticed 3 groups that arrived after us, and been sitting there waiting like us, got tables.
We then asked the guy "how is our table going?". (Note that we were not told to do anything, but sit and wait and they would call our name). He replied "Have you scanned the QR code?". We replied "what do you mean by QR code, you just told us to sit here and wait 5-10 minutes, and now its been 15, and three other tables that came after us has got tables?".
He then manages to insist that he did tell us to scan the QR. But why would we lie about that, and be sitting here for 15 min without a table? Him insisting that customers are lying, when we are waiting for a table, before even sitting down to eat, makes me never want to return, and put any more money into 4p as a company. There is hundreds of pizza places in HCM now. I have shared this with friends that will be visiting to not go here, and recommend them other places for pizza.
TL;DR: Waited outside for table. 3 groups after us got tables before us. We were not told to scan anything, and just wait 5-10 min. He then insist he told us, and that we are lying. Who willingly lies about not scanning a QR code, to sit outside the restaurant for 15 minutes waiting for tables? Better services at other...
Read morePizza 4P’s Xuan Thuy is truly a gem in the heart of Thao Dien. From the moment you walk in, the lush greenery and calming atmosphere set the tone for a thoughtful, eco-conscious dining experience. The service is warm and attentive, even during peak hours, and the staff do their best to maintain a welcoming vibe.
The highlight here is absolutely the food. Their house-made burrata and mozzarella are in a league of their own—so fresh and creamy that they elevate every dish. I highly recommend the half burrata & Parma ham / half soy garlic beef pizza—a perfect fusion of bold Japanese flavors and classic Italian technique. The crust is thin, crisp, and just the right amount of chewy.
The menu also reflects a deep commitment to sustainability, with locally sourced ingredients and seasonal specials that are both creative and delicious. It’s clear they care about where their food comes from and how it’s made.
While it’s slightly on the pricier side, the quality justifies it. I’d also suggest making a reservation, especially on weekends, as it tends to get busy.
Overall, Pizza 4P’s Xuan Thuy delivers not just a meal but an experience—one that combines excellent food, mindful values, and a cozy environment. Highly...
