In Lebanon every village has its miracle, especially where you least expect it: in Bechouat, a tiny village of almost 1000 souls, near Beqaa, there is a Marian shrine that was built in the same place where a statue of the Virgin was venerated , Our Lady of Pontmain in the Loire. No matter what belief you belong to, if you are Christian or Muslim, everyone comes here and everyone gets their "baraqat", blessing and so be it!!

You need around 15mins to arrive to Yamouneh.

Upon arrival there was a mass taking place in the small chapel which was really lovely to be part of! Stunning grounds with freedom to roam around, take pictures and light candles. Souvenir shops are also nearby. Really quite and not so busy. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely go again. Highly recommended for anyone and everyone!
