Love First Street beach. Grew up on this beach! Beautiful shore line to collect rocks and hopefully score some beach glass. You have the pier to take a break from swimming. Playground to entertain the children. Actually there are 4 playgrounds in a half mile radius. The one I grew up on, Rocket Park! Little out dated but still fun. The Light house park and the new Rotary Park behind the hotel. Back at the beach there is the bath house. Includes a little concession stand style foods and ice cream. Very tasty! Clean rest rooms, including a family style restroom.

So if you are considering which beach to hit, first or fifth Ave....we'll both are amazing and you can't go wrong at either! Love Manistee and I promise...

Came here while attending tight lines for troops fishing tournament on 18 May 2024. Another veteran showed me this awesome place. The place is a beautiful place. The lighthouse near the Cg station is a nice sight to see. You can fish along the channel, in the cement walkway it has holes to place fishing pole and lean against the railing, incase you hook that special beast!!! It has bathrooms. Breath taking sunset. Hampton Inn is across the street at the circle. The coast guard station across the channel. Public access. You can walk along the water across from the CG building. I would recommend anyone to go visit! Beautiful, clean, and definitely...

There’s showers here and changing rooms. Bathrooms and snack stand too. The same area has tennis courts, basketball courts and a couple of playgrounds and picnic shelters. With a young family we spent more time at the playground and picnic area rather than the beach which wasn’t terrific on the...
