Let's start with the positives. Overall the park is really pretty. Lots of green areas and easy, walkable trails. The lake is beautiful but very busy with skiers. The beach looks lovely (though we haven't visited yet). Lots of birds singing, squirrels foraging, even saw a bald eagle fly just a few feet above our heads. Now for the not so good. The bathhouse is pretty dated and poorly lit. When we arrived there was no TP in either of the women's stalls but the caretaker fixed that as soon as I let him know. We booked site 15 which was listed as a back-in site for RVs/MHs with electric and water. However, the site itself is so poorly graded that's there's no way of leveling a MH on it. It's like they dumped a bunch of class 5 but forgot to spread it out. The water spigot is over by site 14, so you have to run your water hose through your campsite to connect to your camper. The site does back up to the lake and has some nice trees for shade so that's good. The caretaker was terrific though he couldn't change us to a different site because the grounds were fully booked. If we weren't traveling with friends we would have broke camp, ate the reservation costs, and headed back home. The net of this review is that the campground is nice but avoid site 15 unless you're in a tent.

Great campground with very clean showers and flush toilets. Water at the campsites smelled a little funky but sites are otherwise great. There are gravel parking pads with grassy areas in between each site, some on the backside have a decent amount of "backyard" too. There are lots of nice tent sites kind of tucked away from everyone else. Down at the waters edge is a really spacious park and beach area. The boat landing is double ramped and has lots of parking for trailers. Overall a beautiful park and definitely worth checking out.

This Campground had all the things we needed. We went in the fall so it was real quiet while we were there. I can't speak to the bathrooms; we didn't use them or see them. The sights were super nice, you can buy wood, nice firepits, etc. Nice beach and great walking trails. They had a cool suspended chain bridge we walked across. Nice beach-water quality was iffy though-invasive species of sort (well marked as such). Overall a great experience for our needs.

If I would give zero stars I would. I had been going here my entire life but its really gone down hill. We went there for the labor day weekend. Saturday night some large men got in my 16 year olds face & threatened him because he was playing with a large group of kids & one of them grabbed my sons arm as he ran from the other kids and when he pulled his arm away she was accidentally hurt. These men threatened to do physical harm to my son while yelling at him inches from his face. They...

2023.08 The playground was gone and under construction. They had just laid the concrete sidewalk. The beach is really rocky, so pack water shoes. Fortunately, the volleyball court has fine sand to play if it's not burning hot. Be mindful if you're packing a lot for the beach and pulling a wagon or stroller, there's no accessible pathway from the parking lot to the beach. The sheltered picnic area has three separated patios, but they all connect via stairs through one entryway. Not stroller...
