Sumlang Lake is a new attraction in Albay.Last summer (May 2019),we visited this place. It was my first time and I super loved it because every time I would have a vacation in Bicol we would go up Lignon Hill to have a nice view of Mayon Volcano. When we happen to reach this lake,I was so surprised that the view from this place is more than nice.Looking at Mayon Volcano from this side doesn't just make one realize what a panoramic beauty it has but you also come to notice that it seems that it is so near to you.The place is just a small one but it has a restaurant and a souvenir shop. There are balsa with beautiful chairs that you can rent if you want to go around the lake and have your picture taken while roaming around it. The place is literally green because of the different flora that were planted to make its surroundings beautiful especially when the beautiful are blooming.Although the place seems small because it is in a residential part of the province, still you will be able to find a shade where you can park safely your vehicle. There are also people there from the barangay that ensures the safety of the visitors. If you will commute, the fare is also very affordable and the trike drivers in the area could already serve as your tourist guide. The staff inside the park are also courteous and the restrooms are also clean. So,if you want to have a good view of the Mayon Volcano when you visit Bicolandia, don't forget to include Sumlang Lake in your itinerary. You'll love the scene of the perfect cone...

Sumlang Lake is a remarkable destination that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the hospitable staff, who went out of their way to make our experience memorable. They even volunteered to take pictures of us, ensuring the stunning lake and its picturesque locations were captured perfectly in the background.

The lake itself is man-made but feels entirely natural, with its serene ambiance and breathtaking views of Mount Mayon. The souvenir shops were fascinating, offering unique and locally crafted items that perfectly captured the essence of the place. One of the highlights of our visit was the chance to try cutting the shell of the pili nut, a fun and interactive activity that added a special touch to the experience.

Their café is another treasure, serving freshly brewed coffee and a variety of delicious cakes and food options. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The entrance to Sumlang Lake is conveniently accessible from the highway, making it an easy and worthwhile stop for anyone exploring the Bicol region.

Whether you're a nature lover, a foodie, or simply someone looking for a serene getaway, Sumlang Lake offers something special. With its stunning views, including the majestic Mount Mayon, and the warm hospitality of its staff, it’s truly a must-see...

Best for people who want to stay longer and chill and watch the scenery, drink your coffee or refreshers while watching the clouds pass by Mt. Mayon. A great place to unwind without any worries and capture the reflection of Mayon in the lake.

This was our last stop on our Bicol trip, and I’m so glad we made it. My boyfriend and I love places like this - just soaking in the tranquility of the sky and the peaceful surroundings. It’s a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sadly, we have to go home that time which we were pressured by our time and we should’ve visited it earlier. Since we are early and the restaurant is still not open and they referred us to the open coffee shop, we dined our breakfast. Everything is great, food is good, drinks are too milky for us (wrong type of order hehe, I should have ordered the juice na lang). I think this is best for people who are patient and willing to wait for their orders. Ours took almost an hour before they served our food and forgot to serve the potato chips we’ve ordered when we billed out na since it was taking too long for us. But anyways, everything is great. Nothing bad in Sumlang Lake, just a wrong timing of visit since we have time to catch.

Thanks, Sumlang Lake. We will visit again soon without any hurry. My stay is not enough to grasp and try their...

Many renovations and expansion were made around the place which made it more visually pleasing. However, with the improvements in the area, the entrance fee also rose from 20 pesos in 2019 to 80 pesos this year. There are already restaurant and coffee shop in the vicinity. Water biking and kayaking activities are still available with a per head price of 100 pesos for about 30 minutes. You can also try feeding and catching fish at Fishyalan where you can take your tilapia catch home for only 150 pesos per kilo. It was what I enjoyed the most during our visit since it is a fun and challenging experience.

Honestly, quite boring if you prefer travelling with adventure or a little fun and excitement but if you have kids they might enjoy the place because they have like go carts. The fish sanctuary is no longer open when we were there. But if you like a place to stay where you can relax, like what I did, just stay at the hammock and look at Mayon's view then it's a place to visit. We just pass through for a few minutes to rest and see what they offer before we went to Bulan in Sorsogon. BTW they have aqua biking activity by the lake.

Sumlang lake is very picturesque. Its backdrop is the Mayon volcano and is reflected by the water on the lake. The property added lots of pretty wicker seats that adds something more to that ig photo. I recommend riding the bamboo raft, or “balsa”, while taking in the sights, the breeze and lugging a cool beverage or ice cream. Entrance fee is PhP20 and PhP200 for a bamboo raft ride. The access street going to the lake is very narrow, and inconspicuous from the highway. But parking is available just across the entrance.
