RockCastle River Trading Co and Riverside Gardens — Attraction in Kentucky

We pulled in this past Friday at 5:30, we noticed signs that said they closed at 5:00 but we have been driving by here for the better part of 3 years now and wanted to see it so we walked around just a little bit, we weren't intrusive or anything but after seeing just a portion of it we will definitely be back. We go camping at our friend's campground down the road Rockcastle Riverside quite often but we're typically pulling into the campground when we have to be doing something and we usually leave on Sundays when this place is closed but we are definitely going to make it a point to stop there next time we hit the river, well worth our drive off the interstate just to see a portion of it,...

Nestled in the hills of Rockcastle county and sitting along the bank of the river is one of the most beautiful places you'll see. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, of course you wouldn't expect anything less than that from Jon Carloftis would you. The shop is loaded with anything you could need to add that classic touch to your home or a bit of whimsy, whichever it is your looking for. While you're there walk the trail to the river and maybe even pick up a locally crafted item as well. Ps...be sure to admire the beauty of the peacocks...

After a 3 hour drive was excited to see the shop and beautiful gardens shown in the brochure and other positive reviews, regarding this interesting business. I was very disappointed. The grounds have been neglected and I was sad to see what appears to have been a beautiful property very run down.
