Just 25 kms away from the hustle and bustle of Temple city Madurai located at a picturesque location with green π², green vegetation, mango grooves the coconut trees π΄, lining the small single road nestled at the slopes of Sirumalai is the Kutladampatti falls with refreshing clean crisp O2 filled air the sounds of peacock π¦, cuckoo's, squirrels, humming birds π¦, mesmeric clouds ganging and hanging near, a must visit place , cannot go up to the falls unless you get proper approval from forest department. Please dont litter , bring back all your wastes and dispose properly in municipal dust bins

Seasonal waterfall. Its open only when there is rain in sirumalai hills. From Madurai you can reach in two ways, either through alanganallur - saathiyar dam - palamedu road (which is not so good for driving) or through vadipatti which has better road condition. Safe for family and kids. We have to trek for around 200m from the parking place. It might be difficult for elderly ppl to reach the waterfall. From the top there is a good view of the hills and greeny villages around

The place is closed for a year. We went on 8th December 2019. The forest authorities stated, The falls platform is broken and will only be fixed in the months of May - June. We were not allowed to even enter in. Its a waste of time going till the place. The roads upto the falls are under construction and its pretty bad for close to 5kms, There is only gravel.

Looks like a majestic falls from the outside but itβs too bad itβs closed down bcoz of COVID & expected to be open only after a year according to the forest guard around. Some families come & try to wet themselves in the stream that comes out from the forest. But there are not much water draining down even after good rains a day before we went.

Great place to enjoy super management by the government of tamilnadu and the forest department.. Aged persons can't get through because of the steps. Water depends on rain at madurai and Dindugal. The best time to visit is monsoon season and need to enquire A small hotel is available and the Food is okay.
