Our family had a great time here. We come to amish country once a year and usually visit Hershberger (which is also fabulous) but decided to try something different this time. Schrock's will take up several hours of your day if you see everything because they have lots of shops all in one area. The parking was plentiful. There is parking in the main front area as well as more parking further in by the craft barn. They also have a newly built hotel on site with more parking. It's BUSY... but you can usually find a spot. We did the amish buggy ride which was fun. Toby was our horse and Moses was our guide who makes great chit chat and can recommend other things to do in the area. The leather store is very commercial but has cool things, nothing unique. The pet store was lots of fun - they have free range puppies to pet and hold. I wonder how many folks leave with an unplanned puppy lol! The best "shopping" areas in my opinion are the craft mall and antique mall. I acquired a $12 "I cut the cheese" cutting board, jam, and cider in the craft mall.... and they had lots of other neat things like dolls, decor, potpourri etc.... I got a few old MAD magazines in the antique mall but our family really enjoyed looking through all the booths and explaining to the kids things like how rotary phones worked lol They have a neat candle shop on site that's very small, and a bakery with restaurant. We took home several homemade hand pies, danishes and macaroons.

Schrock's Heritage Village was a bit of a letdown during our trip to Amish Country. Originally, we were supposed to be in Key West, but Hurricane Milton forced us to shift plans, and we decided to tour Ohio instead. We stopped by on a Saturday, hoping for a good experience, but the main buildings were closed and looked empty. While the Berlin Leather and Pet Shops were open and quite nice, the overall experience fell flat. We didn’t try the restaurant, so this review doesn’t reflect that. Hopefully, they bring in new tenants to fill out the village—it has potential, but right now, it's lacking.

Interesting place. The antique store didnt seem very Amish. The craft store behind the antique store was better. We wanted to take the self guided tour of the Amish house. But they said the tour guide had the day off so it wasn't open. Why would there be a tour guide for a self guided tour?? The horse and buggy ride was really cool. A horse and buggy on top of the outdoor restrooms? Interesting.....

There were a lot of beautiful Christmas decorations with really high prices. I did find one that I wanted to buy, but when I went to the downstairs register, there was a sign saying to pay upstairs. I have bad knees and climbing stairs hurts. I do it when I need to, but not to pay for one $20 ornament. I would think if they were going to insist that a person goes upstairs to pay, the upstairs would be more accessible, an elevator maybe. I could have walked up if I wanted to, regardless of...
