Gurguripal Eco Park, located just off the Medinipur-Dherua Road about 10 km from Medinipur, is a quaint forest area around a few water bodies. An ideal getaway from the humdrum of busy day-to-day activities, this eco park was developed about 10 years ago. But due to lackadaisical attitude from concerned authorities this beautiful place is in utter ruins today. The main entrance, the resting spots, the walkways, the street lamps, the boating facility, the watch tower, everything is in such dilapidated condition. But, if some maintenance work is implemented on behalf of governmental authorities (just like the rejuvenated Gopegarh Eco Park) this would again be a sureshot favourite among visitors.

The park is located just 12 km from Medinipur town. The park is full of sal trees. The park has a watch tower. Currently the park is in ruins. However, the beauty of the park has not been removed yet. The park can be used for picnics all year round, but is crowded during the winter.
