The good: Has some decent fishing, is mostly shaded, and some fun rope swings that are very popular in the summertime. There are also some picnic tables and fire pits available, with trash bins and port-o-potties.

The Bad: No more camping allowed, which really is a shame. We camped here with the boy scouts several times, and we are bummed that we cannot do that anymore.

The Ugly: The reason camping was gotten rid of was because of some pretty crazy antics by young adults, with alcohol, loud music, and late-night antics (including some rapes, apparently). As such, the camping was halted. The mosquitoes can also be bad, depending on the time of year.

Summary: a decent place to spend a lazy afternoon fishing, or as a local swimming hole. I'd visit mid week, to avoid...

There are 4 ponds but only one is large enough and deep enough for fishing and swimming. It is a day use area which keeps the litter down. It is frequently stocked with hungry rainbow trout and can have really fast fishing. The springs pump out 54 degree water which keeps it ice free all winter and cool and refreshing in the heat of the summer. The top layer of water heats up nicely in the summer but as you swim down 10 feet or so it is really cold. The rope swing is the main attraction in the summer with young adults but kayaking, fishing, picnicking, bird watching, and relaxing. There are restrooms but no fish cleaning station. No motorized watercraft are allowed, but hunting is allowed for...

O man. This place is free no entrance charge so its always a favorite for my family to go to when we dont have any money. The water is always warm in summer days. It gets cooler when its cloudy. It is very clean. It does get really crowded in the weekends so you have to get there early if you want to save a nice place. There is limited shade so bring your own umbrellas and dont forget the sunscreen. Also bring snacks or stuff to make a sandwich you will be uingry after a long day of swimming. Also the only place to eat here is a subway at the entrance if the freeway so not many options. At least go and check it out once to know what the hype is about. Oh i apmost forgot, there is also...

A free place to fish. It's kinda hidden. This is my 2nd favorite place to fish. Usually, there is a firepit close by in case it's cold. Bring your own firewood. You can usually catch fish here for about 2 hours after sunrise. On time, we pulled three 22-inch trout out and took 1 home to eat it. Normally we catch and release. There is a rope swing. There are giant carp. We have seen wild life out there. Fun place and its free.

We loved it!! Water felt perfect, May 26th, fun to swim, walk around the lake. Saw lots of birds, tadpoles, garter snakes, and a muskrat!! Awesome variety of animals. I just wish there was less trash!! Maybe the city can make a clean up day??? Get the beer cans out of the water and trash off the ground. I would participate!! Beautiful place tho, we will come back.

In the still, glassy morning, it's really pretty. The reflections off the water are really stunning. Though the ponds smell bad, it's a fun little kayak ride. There was one annoying kid who was yelling for his brother during the silence. There were quite a few fisherman, and getting around them was less than fun.
