Hike : 27 June 2024, 4.30pm A trail that very near to Batu Pahat town. There is a parking area near the trailhead. The roads leading to the trailhead and parking area pass through narrow housing areas. A wrong turn may end up in a dead-end, requiring you to reverse all the way back. It's better to check Google Maps for a better idea before going. Toilet is at the start of the hike, but its condition is just acceptable. Be cautious of the algae-covered steps near the toilet, as they are very slippery. Trail Conditions : Highlight: A well-preserved forest reserve with thick vegetation and tall trees. The walkways and staircases are nicely paved. Benches are available along the way, providing convenient spots for resting. Lowlight: The viewing platform is currently sealed off due to damage. Final Thoughts: Suitable for a morning hike or an early evening hike, as the trail gets dark very quickly. This trail may not be a must-visit for every hiker’s bucket list, but it’s well-suited for those stopping over in BP town and seeking a regular hike. The trail includes numerous staircases, requiring strong legs to hike comfortably. It serves as an excellent training ground for more challenging trails and appears to be a popular daily exercise route for locals.

It's been a long time since I came back here. My aunts decided to bring me here for hiking. There are a lot of local residents who like to come here and climb this mountain as a healthy activity. They also very consider putting some sticks next to the sign board for people to use it as a trekking pole. There is a public toilet near the entrance, be sure to use it before climbing up the mountain as there were none on the top. During this hiking session, we pick all the left paved roads in order to reach the observation deck. There is a small cold river, it would be nice if you could soak your feet in there and enjoy the chill. Throughout the journey, you can see a lot of fauna and monkeys. It took us around 45 minutes to reach the observation deck, just to find out that it was broken. I heard from the locals that it was broken for a while already and no update from the management whether to fix it or not. I hope the observation deck can be fixed so that other people can use it to enjoy Batu Pahat's view.

The track is stairway and its in pretty good condition.I wish there's a map for the stairway tho cause I really didn't know where to headed and where it actually ends to fully explore this jungle.Theres monkey but make sure not to give them food as they will depends on it. Make sure to use sport shoes as some of the stairs is a bit slippery and could be harmful if you are wearing sandals. The water flow is slow and not really clean anymore. I ran out of breath just by hiking to the top haha as it was my first time. Would definitely come again to exercise. I've seen few people that came here regularly and actually very nice and friendly. There's a hut at the peak for you to relax a bit and take pictures. Be carefull bot to badmouth or harm the plants for your own safety ♡

Lovely 20-30 min hike with paved roads and staircases. Go in the morning for a cool breeze and the morning sky with beautiful gradient colors. The resting hut at the top has a broken staircase so it's not easy to get up unless you're really athletic. I recommend the view about 2 minutes from the resting hut, beside one of the benches on the side of the pavement.

A nice forest reserve with paved walkways and staircases that leads up to a lookout which reportedly allows you to catch a glimpse of the state of Malacca from across the sea. However the long staircases which lead ever upwards means you better have some stamina to get to the top. It’s very popular with hikers looking for some daily exercise.

One place in Batu Pahat where going to the summit doesn't need permits from Jabatan Hutan. Needs more budget to restore the place to its previous glory. One of the highlight, the observation post, overlooking Batu Pahat town is closed right now because of broken stairs. Still a good place to exercise, if you don't mind the lacking facility.
