The actual water area is very beautiful, but the road up to it is a nightmare! A narrow, windy road gives way to an even more narrow dirt road with a HUGE "pothole" in the middle (it was so big we had to pull all the way to the right into the brush to get around it). Drive slow and be prepared for a harrowing trip with not much shoulder room to pull over to let other cars pass. There is a parking lot, but it's small and tight, maybe 10-12 cars can fit. We were in an F150 truck so the dirt road/pothole wasn't unpassable, but it was tough navigating the parking lot. To get down to the water is steep (no actual paths, just man-made-by-time pathways through the brush). The water area is nice with enough space for the dozen or so families that were there with us. One family had their 2 big dogs with them and the dogs were in the water, too! The rocks are slippery so I would strongly suggest wearing water shoes. I can't write anything about the "rock slide" because no one in my party was brave enough to slide down it. One younger girl slid down it, but her family had to coax her down. The water does appear to be pretty deep in the area under the slide, but use your best judgement and caution. All in all, it was a very beautiful spot and I can understand why it's popular on Instagram, but be prepared for a narrow road, a small parking lot, and crowds later in the day. It's truly a middle-of-nowhere, pull-off-the-road stop with no amenities (no restrooms, no attendant, etc.), but it was definitely an adventure my family and I will be talking...

I grew up in this area and have always enjoyed visiting. But I am now frustrated with how people have abused these camping sites. Trash is left by previous campers and the wildlife that live there tear into it. People also complain to DNR officials and exaggerate about campers being at one site for too long. The limit is 14 days and I feel there is harrasment to campers that set up at a particular preferred spot near the falls at that waterway crossing. My advise would be to get there and claim your spot early, just as we did. Our Labor Day weekend was very stressful the last 2 days due to harrasment from visitors and DNR officials. I will not return to camp but will continue to visit the falls. Water and nature are the therapy I deserve and need. Just watch for the bears.. And please take your trash as you leave. This is a bigger issue than a camper staying too long. DNR, YOU SHOULD SEE TO IT THAT TRASH IS REMOVED BY CAMPERS INSTEAD OF TIME STAYED. I noticed a tent set up for over 2 months in the same spot and still there upon my departure. Have these campers been harrassed about leaving? Truth of the matter is, these campers may not have anywhere else to go. Be kind to people and help others if you can. The struggles are real for some people and just a smile or wave of the hand can make a bad day look better just by being nice. I know these struggles cause I too am displaced right now. But I am better off than most. Enjoy your river visit!! It's very well worth the drive. PEACE TO ALL...

This waterfall is easy to get to but you think you'll never get there because you're driving the entire way on dirt roads after tou turn off the main road. The waterfall is right off the road which follows the stream all the way.

This is a place to go it's easy to get to and you can drive right up to the waterfall where there's plenty of walking trails to walk through the woods. The walking trails don't lead anywhere but it's just a nice nature walk. The trails are dog friendly and you can let them off their leash and they can explore Into the Woods. Do learn how to identify poison ivy because in North Georgia there's plenty of it that grows wild oftenrighton the trails.

The waterfalls at the end of the road pool and have multiple layers as they go down the hill. If you follow the stream, there are multiple waterfalls along the stream. It's a beautiful walk but be careful of the Rocks because they are slippery and you can twist your foot.

It is an easy way to see a beautiful waterfall in the mountains.

There are no picnic areas but if you want to have a snack sit down on the rocks and have a natural place to eat your snack.

As a side note, after this you can go buy Turner's Corner and catch a nice meal after you hit this...

This little spot was absolutely gorgeous! Total hidden gem. We spent so much time here walking from spot to spot enjoying the sound of the falls. It’s right across the street from two parking areas so no long walk or hike. There are 3/4 different sections of the falls to visit. You can walk out on the rocks easily. Would be a nice place to sit by the water and have a picnic or read a book. The water is so clear and beautiful. Please be sure to keep this place clean and carry out your trash as the water looks so clean and we want to keep it that way. There is ample parking. No facilities nearby so keep that in mind.
