Beautiful, quiet, secluded, mountainous landscape with river crossings, and fresh glacier water. I've done the hike twice up to Windy Lake from Pangnirtung Pass. To enter the park you must pay an outfitter to drive you in by boat. There are areas that are very windy, and the terrain changes throughout - from moss, sand, boulders, and sometimes icy - be prepared for wet feet throughout the hike. The Parks Canada staff are local Inuit who are very informative and you need to watch a Polar Bear Safety video prior to departure. An absolute great time!

Hiked in from the Pang side. Well worth the hike, you’ll definitely have glacier fed rivers to cross and get wet in - but it’s refreshing. The Viking mountain views are epic.
