The Ali Pasha Bridge walk is one hell of a journey. According to Google Maps it’s only about 2 km long though I must warn you it’s uphill the entire way and I recommend following Google Maps we even got directions from the locals who directed us in the correct direction. If you are unfit or don’t do well in the sun I’d recommend going very early in the day or perhaps finding a taxi who could take you up there as it’s not for the weak. There are plenty of cars coming up and down we got many offers for lifts on the way up and on the way down from locals and taxis, though walking was part of the experience and we loved every moment of it. On our way up we even came across some really friendly dogs and the scenery was phenomenal.
Once you get to the top you’ll see Ali passes bridge in the distance and you can take a very short walk down either under the bridge or you can stand directly on the bridge. There is also a local bar there where you could get anything from snacks to beer and espresso all at a reasonable price is far cheaper than anything you’ll find...
Read moreAmazing experience. We hiked from the castle through mountainous neighborhoods and lots of rocks on the path. I'd definitely recommend hiking boots or closed toe shoes in case you twist your ankle or need ankle support. It's a modest hike with friendly animals along the way like mountain goats and its herder and horses. We came on a late Monday afternoon in April and hardly saw other hikers, maybe like 5 other hikers on the path. We hiked down to see the bridge from above and found the other path to reach the bridge and walk across. I'd definitely recommend to add this to your places to see while in...
Read moreWe drove up to near the Vista point, we did manage to find parking after speaking with some locals. Generally it is better to park in town and walk up. It's easy to find with a little signpost from the road. It's free. The view from the Vista is beautiful. It was easy for us to walk down to the bottom of bridge, but you need moderate fitness. The path is very rocky with many loose rocks. We had regular sneakers and it was fine on a dry day but if it had been raining boots would be better. We had the whole place to ourselves. Stunningly beautiful place and a highlight...
