I can’t really speak for the views as it was super foggy the day I drove through, but I want to write a review to inform other driving travelers because based the on the previous reviews I read, I thought this road was going to be extremely treacherous and I was super anxious to drive through in my Opel sedan rental car. Maybe the road is in better condition than it used to be (its in great condition actually, just narrow as all roads in Albania are), but i didn’t find the drive to be tough at all - yes there are lots of switchbacks and it gets quite steep at times, but as long as you take it slow (just ignore the locals trying to pass you, safety first!), it’s really not that bad, and I don’t consider myself a very experienced driver. I thought the drive to the blue eye was harder because the roads were so bad. I could see motion sickness being an issue for passengers here though. The hardest part is that on a cloudy day, you are driving through the clouds, so you can’t see more than a few meters in front of you. I caught a bit of the view where the mountains met the sea and could only imagine how beautiful it would be on a clear day!

If you ever come to Albania, you must experience this stunning natural wonder. I cannot express just how sublime and beautiful Llogara is. I drove through this pass multiple times and every single time the inner peace, warmth, and awe I felt looking at the mountain, the sea, the sky, and the way they all merge into each other and become a visual masterpiece was breathtaking. This was by far my favorite spot/activity/experience in Albania. Don't miss this!
