Read moreIt was very difficult to find information on the canyon walk to the waterfall... 20 minutes, 2 days, super easy with children, or unbelievably dangerous. The one thing that all reviews seemed to agree was that it is beautiful - here I am to settle the rest! You could park your car near the guesthouse on Canyon, but we opted to park it a little lower down the hill under a tree. The path starts near the guesthouse. Looking out to the canyon, it is to the left of the lookout. You walk out slightly uphill onto a hill near a yellow arrow. There are a couple of old unreadable signs. It is very steep rock for the most part, and at times, I slid down on my bottom to be safe. My friends were okay stepping down. There is a grassy part in the sun until early evening, which is very hot in summer but a little easier to descend. As you continue walking, the path becomes obvious. I am very careful and particularly slow downhills. It took me 45 minutes. Perhaps for others, it would take 30. We did not go to the very bottom as by 3pm this was shaded bit climbed over some rocks and splashed water from a flowing stream. There were lots of frogs, and it was tranquil! To get to the very bottom, the walk may be a little trickier and longer. The walk-up took us 20 minutes as we knew the path and are strong young women. Just wear good shoes and bring water. It's definitely worth the walk for some...

Finding the start of the trail isn't easy; walk past the old buildings and try to find a pole with the red/white marking. Sometimes it's more of a scavenger hunt than a hike, to find your way. -You have to wear proper shoes! There isn't a good path and some points are very slippery. You'e got several choices in the length of your hike. From a couple of hours, up to 2 days(!!). The information board is at the start, at the parkingplace.
BUT! It's all worth it! The waterfall is pretty and the views along the hike are breathtaking! Between the mountains it feels like you're not on this...
