Clear water and lots of open space, at times there’s lots of trash but the farther away from the city and closer to the camping area (northwards) the cleaner it is. It gets more wild and has areas without any buildings which is nice. There’s a few restaurants spread out along the beach. You can drive your car onto the beach. Good place to go for a run or exercise. It’s a nice contrast from lungomare where all the traffic drives by the smaller beach there. You can find some wild horses there and plenty of friendly street dogs. I spent a year in Vlore and for Europe (I’m from California) it has great weather. Slightly hot and humid summer. Winter is super mild with most days in winter are around 15 degrees, some days are 10 and a some are 20. Winter probably 1/2 to 2/5 of the days are sunny. Early to mid fall is wonderful, most days sunny and between 20-25 degrees. Late fall is also nice. Late spring and early summer are amazing times. Around 25 degrees and sunny. Plus the locals are really nice people, and it’s an extremely safe city. Great place. This is definitely an ideal place for retirement or to start a family. Very clear water, and the water is pretty warm,...
Read moreThere are a lot of negative opinions because parts of the beach are messy. The key word here is PARTS :) Just don't stay closer to the ferry port and the marina that's under construction. The rest is a spacious beach suitable both for swimming and walking, as the sand is not too soft. The water is clear and clean. There's a nice pine tree park further away from the center. Magnificent sunsets are a huge bonus. We spent most of our vacation at Saint Tropez beach bar (+facilities) that offered sunbeds for ALL 500 only per day, good food, coffee and cocktails. It was October, so the air/water temperatures were mild (27 C/24 C). The overall experience definitely outweighs having some litter on your way to the beach or...
Read moreSo, I went there to camp, at the furthest part of the beach. I wouldn’t recommend to chose this place for the beach, but it was a cute spot to camp. There are no facilities near dedicated to campers, but there are beach bars and restaurants, 2-10 minutes walk. I camped with a tend and reached the shore in a personal car, but as far as I could tell (and from 2 other campers there) they could only reach 50m from the shore, because then the trees became more frequent and the path more...
