Good place... Due to high flood and for the safety of visiters the authority build a fence.. so be careful.. land slide may occur if we go beyond the limit.. otherwise.. it's nice to see and the scenery is so beautifull.. parking area is good. Some shops are closed nearby. But limited numbers of shops are available.. may be because of COVID 19 some shops are closed. Toilet facilities may be limited according the shops. Only one shop having the facilities for the rest rooms. During the heavy water it's better to avoid the slope areas and land and water borders. It's only a 3 to 5 km from the Kottayam to kattappana road. All vehicles can reach there. But narrow roads for large buses. Food and meals availability may be less.. The view to the tunnel is so beautiful during summer seasons. Also walking through the tunnel may be dangerous. Also during the rainy times the tunnel may be slippery and the water flow may be unpredictable.. so better to avoid entering the tunnel. Many lives has been lost there because of unawareness and Adventure. But it's safe to enjoy the beuty of anjuruly. Be safe and enjoy your trip.

Iit is a good place to enjoy with friends and family. Here we get more beautiful views. The lake and the mountains are a sight. The Tunnel was constructed to bring water from the erattayar Dam to Idukki Dam Reservoir. This tunnel is about 5.5 km long. In this tunnel, we can take many photos from the premises. We have limited access to the inside of the Tunnel. Instructions are written outside the Tunnel. Entering the inside of the Tunnel is one of the few attempts at the watering time. It is best not to go to the tunnel during rainy times. There is plenty of space available to park the vehicles. Like the Tunnel, the lake is very important. The lake is deep So no one should get there. We can see a small waterfall in the lake if the water comes out of the Tunnel as well. If there are activities like boating in the lake It would have been better. However, this is a good place to enjoy
