Wintersport in Andorra Not busy at all. Near zero waiting lines at any skilift. Good pistes. Lots of wide pistes. At least 4 different ski arena’s. Very snow secure; in both December 2021 and December 2022, when the Austrian, Swiss and French Alps were all green/ 50% of all ski arena’s closed, In Andorra we had mainly bluebird days and good snow the whole holiday. Taxi’s are affordable. Bus connections are reliable. Andorra in short is (for us) a great ski resort in Europe. Andorra ski arena It is possible to buy a combined ski pass that gives access to more ski arena’s. The different ski arena’s are - Grand Valira, a large arena - Arinsal, good snow - La Massana, lower on the mountain - Arcalis La Massana ski area is mostly easy pistes. Perfect for family ski trips. The main skilift of La Massana has not got the todays normal outside ski’s hatch. So the interior glass is fully scratched Pal La Massana to Arinsal From La Massana Pal take the chairlift all the way up the mountain, then one button lift. Down some slobes and into a large cabin lift which will cross the valley to Arinsal.

First and foremost, Jasmine from the ski school office is super kind and helpful. I had quite a few inquiries before and after arrival, yet she helped and dealt with all of them and even gave me extra information whenever possible. I cant thank her enough, she basically saved my holiday! The ski school was great too. I learned from 3 instructors over 4 days (normally u will learn from 1). All of them saw right through my skill level and there was always something to learn. I've skied for about 20 years but never had a lesson till now and this was a great opportunity to find my weaknesses which are now all fixed, and ask questions I was unsure about which now I have answers for! Thanks Ina, Elena, and Koke (sry for misspellings)!

Ok? A groso modo.

Went skiing over New Year. Not loads of snow due to the unusually warm temperatures, but I think Arinsal did a pretty good job of opening enough runs that we were able to do six days of skiing, five of which were morning lessons.

Visited Pal twice, once in a lesson and once at the end of the week with the family. It's a bigger resort, more runs were open (it seems they had favoured running the snow cannons more often in Pal than Arinsal) and were generally in better condition than runs in Arinsal.

We love skiing in Andorra, it's very friendly and relaxed. The ski school in Arinsal is excellent, the instructors are either native English speakers or have excellent English.

We'll definitely be back, probably in February so there should be a bit...
