We paid $300 for a two-way semi- private charter to and from Anguilla from SXM. The journey to Anguilla was right on time, the folks seemed friendly enough. All was well. The problems occurred on the return trip. We specifically booked a time that we wanted to return so we could have time to comfortably do some shopping before leaving on our return flight. Upon arrival at Blowing Point Ferry Terminal, we discovered a very rude employee who told us our return time was 30 minutes later than what we had booked and paid for because of the so called lack of daylight savings time in Anguilla. What? As if that makes any difference since flight times take that into consideration and how would that justify a 30 minute change??!. What she then said is that they were going to postpone our trip WITHOUT INFORMING US by an hour but only changed it by 30 minutes I guess. So are we supposed to thank you for taking a $300 prepayment, promising a service at a certain time, changing it last minute without informing us, and then scoffing and rolling her eyes when we expressed any dissatisfaction. As if she had any idea about our reasoning or that it was her business. Take home point: This company is not reliable. They promise one thing, take your money and then you get whatever they happen to deliver and you get to enjoy a rude condescending attitude even when they admit to changing your itinerary without telling you. The woman working at Blowing Rock Terminal is the rudest employee we met on our entire trip. Get a job where you don’t...
Read moreCalypso Charters provided a fantastic experience from start to finish. I booked the small-group semi-private charter from Sint Maarten to Anguilla, and it was seamless and enjoyable. The journey starts at the new Anguilla ferry terminal, conveniently located right next to the SXM airport. Check-in was smooth, simple, and quick. Afterward, I was directed to the open-air lobby, where I could relax and enjoy a drink while waiting to board.
Once the charter was ready, we quickly passed through immigration and boarded the comfortable express boat. The ferry offers plenty of seating, along with complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions I had. The ride itself was swift, taking only about 20–25 minutes to reach the Blowing Point Ferry Terminal in Anguilla.
If you’re worried about seasickness, don’t be—the ride is short and smooth, thanks to the experienced captain. Upon arrival in Anguilla, disembarking was a breeze, and we quickly passed through immigration, ready to explore the island.
I would highly recommend Calypso Charters to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable way to travel between Sint Maarten and Anguilla. They make the process effortless and provide an excellent start to your...
Read moreMy family just booked a private boat for our transportation round trip from St Marten to Anguilla - we have a family member who was not interested in taking a tiny plane and also gets sea sick so we were thrilled to have this service. The sea can be a bit choppy, we had a good experience both ways with our captains and crew! Special shout out to Captain Pepsi on the Calypso Queen along with Carlton and Ken. Our way back had very rough seas and I can tell Calypso came prepared by assigning us 2 crew and a captain. They ensured our luggage was secure and captain Pepsi was absolutely masterful- we are boaters and he navigated the waves with ease to make for a safe, pleasant trip, even in the chop. Thanks to him, my family would love to return to Anguilla as long as he is driving the Calypso Queen! You can tell safety is their top priority … once safe and underway they also make a fab rum punch and are super friendly. They make sure all processes with immigration and airport transfers easy and...
