When you’re walking past Parque Centenario, you won’t think it’s an interesting place. However, once you’re inside you’ll see it’s a hidden jewel of Buenos Aires. I went there on a Sunday, it was so hot but it wasn’t raining, so the park was full. The lake is beautiful, but I have never seen so many pigeons only in one place. The pigeons were annoying, but I still give the park 5 stars because of its vibrant scene and because I felt that the community went there to get together. There was traditional Argentinian music playing in one spot and Brazilian drums just a few meters a head. There were people drinking mate, kids playing and some people walking their dogs. It seemed to me the place where the regular porteño goes. It’s next to the museum of natural sciences of Buenos Aires, which is also worth passing by.

I live few blocks away from Centenario park, in weekdays you can chill near the fountain, go out and play with your pet or just enjoy a picnic and a good amount of vitamin c. The weekends the entire park is covered by a feria where you can find used clothes, collectible figures, book, antiques, etc. Also there are people selling food and 'marcianos' that is an ice cream with a stick shape. Definitely something to do with family or friends, there's a lot to see and explore. Machines to workout, fishes and turtles in the pond. There are public restroom but sadly I do not know the schedule for them.

This is a really cool Park it's extremely busy during the weekend but nevertheless I had a nice walk and it was fun to see the way people spent there Saturday. I'm not sure if this is all weekend but around the fence the park there is an open market with all sorts of bits and pieces which could be interesting if you like that sort of thing. The water feature was quite nice to look at and the vegetation is well taken care of so overall plus plus plus

The park is a lovely refuge in the middle of a very busy city. The government are completing a makeover / upgrade of the park at present. It’s still a great place to stroll, sit, relax and refresh. There is a pond in the middle filled wit enormous carp and turtles while geese and ducks float across the surface. Street vendors offer a variety of snacks and drinks. Worth a couple of hours to wander through.

Perimeter grounds need tlc, but I always felt safe exercising here. Lots of people walking or jogging the perimeter, participating in group exercises, or using the workout equipment. It's busy in the evenings. Takes approx 15 minutes to circle the perimeter walking at a comfortable pace. If jogging on sidewalk, watch out for the cracks between the slabs of pavements. Saw a man trip and fall.
