I don't know if anyone even realizes the kind of park they are supporting when they visit this place. This is absolute animal abuse! How can anyone with a heart and a soul look at this poor beautiful orca and see the size of its tank and think, "hmmm, this seems normal." The trainers and the people who work with this orca daily, whose name is Kshamenk, should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. How are you okay with this happening and seeing this amazing animal barely able to move in circles or stretch out? This is appalling, absolutely appalling and downright cruel and inhumane on so many levels. The only people who would EVER buy tickets to this place, are those who fully support animal abuse. This is a sick and twisted marine park that has no remorse, no empathy and does not care about their animals and the living conditions. Please stop buying tickets to these parks that support these animals in captivity! If you want to see these animals and educate yourself and your children, buy a whale or dolphin tour and see them in their natural habitat. There is NO excuse to visiting parks like this in 2023! Seeing this poor baby in this horrible environment, just so he can put on shows and be used for entertainment, makes me physically ill. I hope to God that there are people who still have compassionate hearts that will choose to not support this place. Once we stop buying tickets, we put an end to cruel and inhumane animal suffering once...
Read moreI would leave zero stars if google would let you. Keeping Orcas/dolphins in captivity under the guise of being an educational facility is absolutely wrong. I BEG each and every one of you to do some research first to learn how these orcas are captured from the wild, stolen away from their family and placed in small tanks. They usually live prey but are forced into starvation to learn to accept dead fish. These extremely intelligent, social, sentient, empathetic beings stay with their family for YEARS and some forever - In captivity they are force bred much before their time and their young are taken away from them either to perform or to sell to other facilities. The way they are hydrated is an issue as well - in the wild they get their hydration from the live prey they eat, since they can't drink water like you or I - in captivity they have to have a tube shoved down their throat to their stomach and water is fresh water is poured in. Between the stress of food, loss of family, having to perform numerous shows a day, tank mate aggression - these beautiful mammals are DRUGGED with so many medications from valium to stomach meds which is hidden in their food to keep them complacent enough to perform. Please do research on your own - follow Dolphin Project, Sea Shepherd, Whale Sanctuary - and learn about the truth of captivity. These facilities lie to you because they have to in order to continue...
Read moreHow does this place have 4.5 stars? The most lonliest orcas in the world were kiska, Lolita and Kshamenk. Kiska died early 2023, Lolita died in summer of 2023 and we don’t want Kshamenk to be next. He lives in a 12 meter pond with a bottle nose dolphin named Floppy. Kshamenk used to be a big strong bull orca, his son Makani lives in Seaworld California and his daughter Kamea lives in Seaworld Texas, while his kids are living the good life in America there dad Kshamenk is being starved and languishes in that pond in the back. The show pool water is so filthy that you can’t even see him through it. For 22 hours a day he lies motionless waiting to do his 5 minute shows twice a day. He is so lethargic that he can’t even get on the slide out or breach anymore- there is no enrichment and no one loves on Kshamenk. Stop buying tickets to mundo Marino and Kshamenk might have a chance to move to a bigger aquarium with his own species, or a Seaside sanctuary. Look at the photos above, no shade, no where to go. He has to wake up to this everyday. Spread the word on Kshamenk he truely is the worlds most...
