Mendel Wines — Attraction in Luján de Cuyo

What a fantastic vineyard and winery! Elana was a spectacular host! She was exceptionally nice and provided a world class tour of the vineyard and winery.

The tasting room was beautiful and it provided a beautiful view of the vineyard. We visited in the late fall, so the leaves were still on the vines, but they were beautiful colors of yellows and browns.

We had visited this winery on a previous trip to Mendoza and we were thrilled to visit it again. This was a completely different view from our previous visit in late winter. At that time the vines were bare.

Mendel is one of the wines I special order in to my home in Canada so I was determined to take a tour of the winery.

I sent an email to the winery and they were very responsive to my request. My husband and I along with another couple from Chicago did the tour together.

Our guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. She took us through the small winery which was actually starting the 2019 process.

Once we were done we chose our tasting. All of the wines we had were fantastic. I was introduced to the Unus line which was excellent!

I had a truly wonderful experience at Mendel Wine, thanks to Elena. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and patient, guiding us through every corner of the winery. She answered all our questions with great care and led us in tasting some outstanding red wines. I was also lucky enough to meet the winemaker and take a photo together — such a delightful surprise!
