We went into the park 2 days with our backpacks and a tent. We heard that the restaurant in the park had opened, so we thought that would have allowed us to have a warm meal in the park and to buy some extra water. When we arrived at the restaurant at noon, they told us we could not eat there as there were 2000 reservations or even more. Turns out those were all bus tour people, who sit in a warm bus all day and get the warm food, while we, who hiked all day in the cold, and were only 2 people, were not given the chance to lunch. Luckily we came prepared and brought gas and some dehydrated food so we had something warm to eat in the evening. We couldn't buy water (no where in the park) so we had to boil some creek water to drink. The park should provide at least water to buy, or to refill your bottle if they don't want trash. The fact that the restaurant is so-called open yet you can't eat there...

After a beautiful walk in the national park, all we wanted was a hot drink to warm us up before we took the bus back into town. But clearly this was too difficult for the staff! We ordered two coffees and a hot chocolate and only the hot chocolate and one coffee arrived, with no apologies. The hot chocolate was cold, and so I ordered a cup of tea with some milk. He brought it over eventually but forgot the milk so I had to go up and ask. We paid the bill and was expecting change, but the waiter seemed to think it was a tip despite us not saying it was (and we had already paid the service charge on the bill!). We went up to the counter and decided to talk to another woman to see if we can get some better service but she was so rude! She said we gave her 7000 when we actually paid 8000. After disputing this, she finally just thrust a 1000 note in our faces with a scowl on her face. Would...

I visited the center's cafeteria today and found their services were bad. I ordered two cups of cappuccino but received both as chocolate drinks. It would be okay if they apologized and admitted that mistakes were made. However they keep telling me that their cappuccino is like that as if I cannot tell the difference between a cappuccino and a chocolate drink. Their attitude was awful. Even worse, two staff behaved exactly the same, treating customer like an idiot. I strongly suggest the management to look into this attitude issue. The cappuccino is not cheap, each costed 2000 pesos (in paper cups). I would not recommend their cafeteria because such...

The fee for the park to non residents is around £25. A lot of the trails are shut at the moment, and so is the pier with the post office on it. The last bus out of the park is 17:10 but the visitors centre shuts at 1830 and the park at 2100. There is no mobile signal, so you will need to use the restaurant WiFi. Ubers are not officially allowed in the park, so if you stay after the last bus, you may be in for a 17km walk back to Ushuaia. In short, it feels set up for dealing with tour groups rather than independent travellers (unless you are local). However, the scenery is pretty awesome, and the path that was open was clearly marked and well maintained.

A beautiful location but staff totally unprepared for a surge of customers. Very slow service in the restaurant meant there was no time to check out the information center or the shop. And we only wanted coffee, nothing requiring such a long time to put on a tray and serve! (I.e. at least 10-15 mins!) A good stop however to use the facilities, have your packed lunch and enjoy the lovely views, weather permitting.

The vegetable empanada was really delicious. The steak was cooked just right and the meat was tender, so it tasted fantastic. I definitely recommend stopping by. The dessert was also of a high standard. It was a pleasant surprise to be greeted with paper roses made by the cheerful staff. The surrounding scenery, so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off it, was the best bonus.
