Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum — Attraction in Dsegh

Dedicated to Hovhannes Tumanyan, the greatest Armenian writer, this Museum is a must visit in the tour of Armenia.The birthplace of All Armenian poet H. Tumanyan (1869-1923) is Dsegh village of Lori Region.It has been turned into House-Museum in 1939. Almost 300 valuable objects representing the activity and life of the great writere are preserved here. The bust of the poet,created by A. Urartu, in 1953 is placed in the yard and a chapel, where the heart of of the poet is preserved, has been built in 1994 in the yard of the museum. Dsegh village is 150km from Yerevan.
