Recently visited Momik Wine Cube, a charming family-owned winery that exceeded my expectations. The owner, Nver, was an exceptional host - warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the art of winemaking. His expertise and enthusiasm made the experience truly unforgettable.

The winery's picturesque location added to the ambiance, providing a serene and idyllic setting that perfectly complemented the wine tasting. The peaceful surroundings and scenic views made it an ideal spot to relax and unwind.

Overall, my visit to Momik Wine Cube was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enriching wine experience. The combination of exceptional hospitality, stunning location, and exquisite wines makes it a must-visit destination for wine...

My wife and friends came across Momik wine as we drove from Yerevan to Norovank.

Although we didn’t book ahead, the owner was incredibly friendly and agreed to accommodate us for a tasting before the winery had even opened.

We tasted four wines - the white, rose, classic red and reserve red - and each were delicious. In addition the owner was kind enough to give a detailed history of the vineyard, as well as an explanation of each wine. A platter of delicious cheese and fruit accompanied the tasting as well.

The tranquility and beauty of the vineyard, the wonderful wines and very affordable price meant we enjoyed a lovely hour or two at Momik. And we ended up buying more than a few wines to take back with us…

We’d highly recommend...

If you're looking for an authentic, local wine experience in Armenia, Momik Wines is the place to go! Not only does Momik make high-quality fine wines using indigenous grape varietals (the rosé is one of the best I've ever had!), but the location of their WineCube in their village where you'll taste their wines is nothing short of magical. The WineCube offers stunning views of the cliffs that surround Areni village, and if that wasn't enough, you'll munch on a delicious, locally-sourced foods (homemade cheeses, salads, cured meats, pickled veggies, fresh breads... perfect pairings for the wines you'll taste). Owners Nver and Narine are absolutely lovely. They make the Momik WineCube the magical place that it is. You won't regret...

The best way to support small businesses while traveling in Armenia: DRINK THEIR WINE! The owners Nver and Narine are adorable people with a real passion for winemaking – it's been a family tradition for several generations. Their wine, Momik, is among the best I've tasted in Armenia (they have all kinds: red, rose, white, and even a homemade version of the red wine that's pretty decent!). Note that they have clean modern toilets (very important especially if you plan on drinking), and the price of tasting also includes a very tasty light lunch (salads, bread, homemade cheese). Overall great stop to make in Areni.

The location where the Momik Cube is situated is truly serene — surrounded by beautiful scenery that sets the perfect mood for relaxation. The owners are incredibly welcoming and warm-hearted, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The Tozod and Areni wines are an absolute must-try, each offering rich, authentic flavors that perfectly capture the local winemaking tradition. If you’re looking for a place with an excellent wine selection, delicious artisanal cheeses to pair with your tasting, breathtaking views, and a genuinely cozy atmosphere — this is the place to be.

One of the best vineyards we ever visited 👌🏻(and we do visit those in every country which produces wines). It is a very peaceful and authentic place, food is simple and tasty, exactly what you need to accompany a great wine. And when it comes to wines…you should go there and taste, because any description won’t be a match for their quality, balance, and bouquet 🤩🤩🤩 Lovely hosts, Nver and Narine, are absolutely dedicated to what they do, preserving family traditions, but constantly innovating 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 We are so thankful for having us at the Momik 💖💖💖
